‘Seeking Haven For Mr. Rambo' Nominated for Golden Trailer Award
The film is the first from Egypt to be nominated for the Golden Trailer Awards' 'Best Foreign Teaser' category. May 22, 2025 The trailer for Egyptian film 'Seeking Haven For Mr. Rambo' has been nominated for the Golden Trailer Awards in the 'Best Foreign Teaser' category, marking the first time an Egyptian trailer has received a nomination in this category. Directed by Khaled Mansour, the film tells the story of Hassan, a man trying to protect his dog, Rambo, in the face of eviction and mounting pressure from his landlord and legal authorities. Set in a working-class Cairo neighbourhood, the film explores themes of loyalty, survival, and personal dignity. The nominated teaser uses a blend of static and handheld cinematography to build tension and emotion without revealing too much of the story. Its nomination reflects growing international interest in regional storytelling and film craft, and highlights the emerging visibility of Egyptian cinema on global platforms. The Golden Trailer Awards honour excellence in film marketing and are considered a key barometer of industry recognition for trailers, teasers, and other promotional content. The winners will be announced later this year.
