Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Gaza: Over 580 martyrs & 4,000 injured among aid seekers
Gaza - Saba: Khalil Al-Daqran, spokesperson for Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Gaza, stated on Sunday that more than 580 Palestinian citizens were martyred and over 4,000 others were injured while attempting to reach aid distribution points. He described the new aid distribution mechanism as having caused a major crisis, exacerbating the suffering of civilians. According to the Quds Press Agency, Al-Daqran warned of the worsening humanitarian and medical situation in the Gaza Strip amid the ongoing Zionist aggression and the lack of sufficient international support. Al-Daqran emphasized that the healthcare system is on the verge of complete collapse due to the rising numbers of martyrs and wounded. He noted that the increasing number of injured is placing immense pressure on health facilities, which are no longer able to accommodate such a large volume of cases, given the severe shortage of medicines and medical supplies. He further stressed that "the healthcare system in Gaza is almost entirely collapsed." Al-Daqran added that humanitarian conditions are deteriorating dangerously, with displacement centers lacking any aid, while the enemy continues to target shelters and food distribution centers, worsening the widespread malnutrition across all provinces of the Strip. He warned of the rampant spread of diseases, pointing out that the health sector has recorded over 400 cases of meningitis since the beginning of the year, alongside rising infection and disease rates among children, amid the absence of even the most basic healthcare necessities. Since October 7, 2023, the enemy forces, with absolute American support, have continued to commit genocidal crimes in Gaza, resulting in over 189,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded—most of them children and women—along with more than 11,000 missing persons and hundreds of thousands of displaced individuals. Gaza Health: 200,000 Chronic Patients at Risk of Death
Gaza - Saba: Khalil Al-Daqran, the spokesperson for Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Gaza, warned that 200,000 people with chronic diseases are at risk of death due to the continued closure of the crossings by the occupation, which threatens to shut down hospitals. In press statements on Friday, Al-Daqran explained that the Zionist enemy is systematically targeting the health system in the Gaza Strip, pointing to a fierce attack on children, either by directly targeting them or by withholding their access to medication. Midway through this week, Dr. Marwan Al-Hams, the director of field hospitals in the Gaza Strip, indicated that hospitals in Gaza are completely lacking medicines and medical supplies, at a time when the enemy forces have been preventing the entry of any type of treatment or medical supplies for more than 50 days. This has led to the complete depletion of the Palestinian Ministry of Health's stock, he said. Al-Hamas added that hospitals are no longer able to accommodate more wounded and injured people due to the ongoing airstrikes and heavy shelling. He noted that reception and intensive care units are completely full, forcing medical staff to resort to a system of preference in providing treatment. Al-Hamas revealed that more than 11,000 patients and wounded registered with the World Health Organization are at risk of death due to being prevented from traveling abroad for treatment. These patients include patients with chronic and serious illnesses such as heart disease, diabetes, and blood diseases. Whatsapp Telegram Email Print
