Tehran University Professor Mehdi Khanalizadeh: Iran Needs to Declare War on Europe; History Shows Two Examples of Appeasement Leading to War – Chamberlain and Hitler, and Araghchi and Trump
Tehran University professor of international relations Mehdi Khanalizadeh said on Khate Energy (YouTube) on July 17, 2025, that in response to European conduct during the Iran‑-Israel war, Iran needs to declare war against Europe. He clarified that this does not necessarily mean Iran should attack Europe with missiles, but that it can act against Europe's interests in the region.
Khanalizadeh said Iran must improve its strategy against those who validated military options against it; otherwise, further negotiations would only lead to more bombings on Iran. He added that history shows two examples of appeasement leading to war: Chamberlain and Hitler, and, in his words, Araghchi and Trump.
