The most common symptoms are diarrhea, vomiting, nausea and stomach pain and can lead to dehydration especially in young kids, older adults and people with other illnesses. Dehydration symptoms include decrease in urination, dry mouth and throat and feeling dizzy when standing up, MCPH said. Kids who suffer from dehydration might cry with few or no tears and be unusually sleepy or fussy. Most people with norovirus feel better within one to three days. MCPH asked the public to stay home when sick for two days after symptoms stop. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
