Standard 9 student injured as ceiling plaster collapses inside government school classroom

Noida: Plaster from a section of the ceiling fell on students at a classroom at the PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya in Sector 24 on Friday last week. At the time, around 40 Class 9 students were attending computer class in the room, one of whom received minor injuries when the debris struck him. "The teacher provided first aid to that child. After that, his parents were informed and they picked up the student from school," said Khemendra Tondwal, the principal of the school. "The school expresses regret over such an accidental incident, although the school regularly follows safety standards," the principal added.
