Kourtney Kardashian Says Traditional Schooling Is 'Dated'
Kourtney Kardashian appeared on the latest episode of her sister Khloé's podcast. She revealed that she thinks the school system is "so dated." Kourtney has four children, including three with her former partner, Scott Kardashian is no stranger to sharing her thoughts on parenting, including the unconventional ways she runs her household. Last week, the Poosh founder appeared on her younger sister Khloé's podcast, "Khloé in Wonder Land," where she called the school system "so dated." Kourtney is a self-proclaimed rule-breaker: "I love to go against the grain," she admitted on the show. The eldest Kardashian sister discussed her personal philosophy, which led into a discussion about education in general. 'I think living authentically is not conforming to whatever it is,' Kourtney said. 'Let's say, the school system—I'll think, 'Why do kids fucking go to school?' Truly, it's so dated.' 'Oh, I'm such a homeschool person. So, don't even get me going,' Khloé chimed in. Kourtney credited her children: Mason, Penelope, and Reign (who she shares with her former partner, Scott Disick) with changing her thoughts on education. The wellness mogul also has a baby son, Rocky Thirteen, with husband Travis Barker. Kourtney explained how her kids have sent her videos of "successful people" detailing why '[their] kids never go to school, and they're never going to.' 'Then I'm like, 'OK, what's the goal here? You want to do homeschool? Let's do it,'' Kourtney said, reiterating that she backs her children's decisions fully. Read the original article on InStyle

Khloe Kardashian's Good American Set for Trial With Cancer-Stricken Ex-Employee Over Firing
Khloé Kardashian's fashion company, Good American, was unable to reach a settlement with the cancer-stricken ex-employee suing for wrongful termination and are set for trial, In Touch can exclusively report. According to court documents obtained by In Touch, a hearing was held on Tuesday, April 29, as part of the lawsuit against Good American brought by a woman named Brooke. Khloé, 40, launched the company with her business partner, Emma Grede, in 2016, At the hearing, it was revealed the parties recently attended a hearing in an attempt to hash out a deal to avoid going to trial. The judge noted the parties did not settle the case. The jury trial is scheduled for August 4 in Los Angeles Superior Court. In the bombshell lawsuit, Brooke said she was hired in 2019 as a Marketing Intern. She was promoted to Marketing Coordinator in June 2021. Brooke said she was provided with glowing performance reviews praising her as an 'asset to the team' and 'great on Emma and Khloé projects.' In 2022, Brooke said she was promoted to Social Media Manager and given a raise. She said she was given another raise in early 2023. On June 20, 2023, Brooke, who had previously been treated for cancer (Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma) submitted a doctor's note to her bosses from UCLA Department of Medicine. The note said that Brooke was under a doctor's professional care and that she was requested as an accommodation a 'temporary excuse from work.' The note said Brooke was "immune compromised' and had recently been discharged from the hospital. Further, it said Brooke needed to complete a course of treatment and that she needed to return to work remotely. Brooke said she submitted another note in July 2023, stating she was under 'medical care' and that she was unable to work in person and needed more time to work remotely. In the suit, Brooke accused the defendants of undertaking a pressure campaign, in which defendants made negative comments to her about her need for accommodation. She claimed she was told her need for accommodation was undermining the organization and that her bosses suggested she take a medical leave of absence instead of working remotely. 'Despite defendants' pressure campaign, plaintiff continued to perform her job remotely, in an effective and competent manner,' the suit read. She said she later saw a job listing for her role. Brooke submitted another request for accommodation in September 2023 that said she needed to continue working at home. The doctor note said Brooke 'is extremely immunocompromised due to her underlying medical condition.' The following month, Brooke claimed Good American terminated her due to a company 'layoff.' Brooke disputed it was a 'layoff' and alleged the company had continued to hire and fill roles. Brooke claimed she was terminated due to her medical condition and disability. The suit demanded damages from Good American and Emma for wrongful termination, cancer discrimination and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Khloé was not a named defendant in the lawsuit. Good American and Emma denied all allegations of wrongdoing. '[Brooke] is barred from claiming any injuries or damages because such injuries and damages are the sole, direct and proximate result of [Brooke's] conduct,' the response read. Further, their lawyer argued, 'To the extent [Brooke] suffered any symptoms of mental or emotional distress or injury, it was the result of pre-existing psychological disorders or alternative concurrent causes, and not the result of any act or omission of Defendants.' Also, they said, 'Plaintiff's claims for failure to accommodate are barred because Plaintiff never gave notice of the need for an accommodation.' The lawyer also claimed Brooke had preexisting issues due to her cancer. '[Brooke] had preexisting mental distress due to cancer and other alternative causes that existed before she was terminated. Any alleged emotional distress was not due to the alleged actions of Defendants,' they argued. Khloé's company also denied cancer or Brooke's need for accommodations were the reason for her termination. They demanded the entire suit be thrown out.

Kourtney Kardashian Had Yelling Wars With Caitlyn Jenner
Kourtney Kardashian Barker has revealed that she found Caitlyn Jenner so 'controlling and bossy' as a stepparent that she ended up moving out of the family home to live with her dad, Robert Kardashian, as a teenager. Kourtney opened up during a recent appearance on her sister Khloé Kardashian's podcast, Khloé In Wonder Land, and Khloé was shocked to hear that her older sister had such a wildly different experience of Caitlyn than she did. But first, some context. The Kardashian siblings are the children of Kris Jenner and Robert Kardashian, who married in 1978. They split in 1989, and their divorce was finalized in 1991. Kris first met Caitlyn on a blind date in 1990, and they married in 1991 — shortly after Kris's divorce was finalized. Kourtney was around 11 years old when Caitlyn first entered her life, Khloé was around six, their sister Kim Kardashian would have been 10, and their brother, Rob Kardashian, three. Kris and Caitlyn went on to have two daughters together, Kendall and Kylie Jenner. And Kourtney feels that she bore the brunt of how difficult Caitlyn was as a stepparent because she is the oldest, with the topic coming up as she discussed her own role as a stepparent to her husband Travis Barker's kids. For reference, Kourtney is stepmom to 21-year-old Landon and 19-year-old Alabama, as well as Travis's stepdaughter from his previous marriage, 26-year-old Atiana De La to her sister, Kourt explained that she enjoys not being responsible for disciplining Travis's children, explaining: 'If a teenager does something that teenagers do, I'm not the role that has to make it a big deal.' Khloé praised Kourtney for knowing that her role with her stepkids isn't to be a disciplinarian, adding that this was something she felt that Caitlyn 'did so well' with them, saying: '[Caitlyn] never tried to be dad, and I always appreciated and respected that.' Kourtney was noticeably shocked by this, and replied: 'OK, so that wasn't my experience, but maybe that's why it became your experience… So [I'm] grateful for that for you.' 'Really, he tried to be dad for you?' Khloé asked, and Kourt said that Caitlyn 'tried to be controlling and bossy' and would tell her 'certain friends can't come over.' Khloé wondered if this experience helped mold Kourtney into the stepparent that she is today, but Kourt attributed it more to their dad's partner Denise. 'Denise was our dad's fiancée for five years,' Khloé told listeners. 'We loved her, we still love her.''I love her and I still have a relationship with her,' Kourtney agreed. 'And I think about what an amazing example she was to all of us. She taught us so much about being young ladies at the time.''I think having that really positive experience with Denise really helped me, too,' she concluded. 'Is that why you didn't connect with Bruce?' Khloé asked, and Kourtney replied: 'Well, yeah.' 'I just thought you didn't like him because he was replacing dad,' Khloé admitted. 'Not that he did, no one could replace dad.' 'Oh, yeah, I'd be like: 'I wanna call my dad!' and then he'd, like, hang up the phone,' Kourtney recalled. 'We'd have yelling wars.' Meanwhile, Kris and Caitlyn announced their separation in October 2013, and Caitlyn publicly came out as transgender in April 2015. What do you make of Kourtney's revelation? Let me know in the comments below!

Kim Kardashian Graduates Law School — See the Photos
Congratulations are in order for Kim Kardashian. The reality star and business mogul can soon add 'attorney' to her resumé, as she has just attained her law degree. The Skims founder shared the news to her Instagram, where she posted clips from the intimate Wednesday afternoon ceremony. 'I finally graduated law school after 6 years!!!' Kardashian wrote over a video shared by her sister Khloé. For the event, the American Horror Story star wore a gray turtleneck sweater and a darker, slate-colored miniskirt with a belt that she tied in a bow in the front. To complete her look, Kardashian added some black tights and white pumps. All the neutrals paired well with the her blush graduation robe. At the ceremony, her legal mentor stated that Kardashian had studied '18 hours a week, 48 weeks a year for six straight years.' 'I wanna thank, I mean, all of you guys have been on this journey with me,' Kardashian said to the group of attendees, which included her sister Khloé, friend (and CNN political correspondent) Van Jones, and more. 'It did start with Van and I. Well, it started with a Twitter video that I saw, that popped up, and I just was dumbfounded.' The video in question was about Alice Marie Johnson, a grandmother who had been given a life sentence for a non-violent drug offense nearly two decades prior. When Kardashian learned of Johnson's story, she lobbied for her during a meeting with Donald Trump in 2018, and ultimately, the sentence was commuted. Then, Kardashian decided she wanted to do more to advocate for others, so she began a four-year apprenticeship with a law firm in San Francisco that same year. In 2019, the Kardashians star told Vogue, 'It's never one person who gets things done; it's always a collective of people, and I've always known my role, but I just felt like I wanted to be able to fight for people who have paid their dues to society. I just felt like the system could be so different, and I wanted to fight to fix it, and if I knew more, I could do more.' In California, there is an option to pass the bar through a process called 'reading the law,' which involves apprenticing with a practicing lawyer or judge. Kardashian took this option, so she never had to attend an actual law school. The mother of four took the 'baby bar' exam a total of three times over the past four years before passing it, and she reportedly took the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (MPRE) this past March. Now, she just needs to pass the bar exam. It's really perfect timing, as her new legal drama, All's Fair, comes out this fall. Coincidence?
