A recent Instagram story shows the mom being emotional after realizing her daughter Penelope is officially 'done with 6th grade' and soon will be joining the next grade. The reality star was emotional with the thought of her 'baby girl' completing her schooling milestone and took to Instagram to share the sentiment with her followers. Kourtney Kardashian is one proud mom. Realizing that her 12-year-old daughter, Penelope, is 'done with 6th grade,' Kardashian could not hold her tears back. The socialite was happy yet emotional. She did not even hesitate to share this moment with her fans on Instagram. On June 3, the mom posted a candid picture of herself showing her emotional side. She was dressed up in comfy cheetah print pajamas and hid her face when Penelope clicked the photo. 'me crying bc my baby girl is done with 6th grade,' she captioned the post, adding, 'she's taking pics of me,' referring to her daughter. The reality star has always been open about her love for kids. Along with Penelope, Kardashian also shares sons Mason and Reign with her ex, Scott Disick. After marrying Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, the couple became parents to a son, Rocky Thirteen Barker, in November 2023. Kardashian is also a stepmom to son Landon, daughter Alabama, and his stepdaughter Atiana. They are Travis Barker's kids with ex-wife Shanna Moakler. The reality star has always been open about her parenting style and her method of raising her kids. Last month, while appearing on sister Khloe Kardashian's podcast, 'Khloé in Wonderland,' Kardashian shared her thoughts about the traditional schooling system. She said the traditional system is 'so dated,' hinting that she is open to the idea of homeschooling if that's what her kids want. The Poosh founder talked about how her children may send her videos of 'really successful people' whose kids don't go to school. So, she may start thinking, 'What's the goal here? The sisters had just learned Khloé's then-boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, had made out with Jenner's best friend, Jordyn Woods, at a party at his house. Khloé shared on the call that Woods claimed she and Thompson 'did make out' and that she 'just can't believe this is happening,' adding 'she was 'confused.' "I'm like ... you're confused?" Khloé added on the call, to which Jenner responded, 'Wow.' Kardashian Barker said at the time, "I'm literally shaking, I'm so furious.' She quipped, "Tristan's gotta go.' Khloé, 40, and Thompson, 34, have had a tumultuous relationship since they were romantically linked in 2016. The Jordyn Woods scandal marked Thompson's second time being unfaithful to the Khloé in Wonderland podcast host. In December 2021, news broke that Thompson fathered a child with Marlee Nichols – while he was in a relationship with Khloé, following their reconciliation. Kourtney Kardashian Barker opened up about her complicated childhood relationship with Caitlyn Jenner in a new episode of Khloé in Wonderland, her sister Khloé Kardashian's podcast. The May 21 episode focused on step-parenting, prompting Kourtney, 46, to candidly reflect on her experience growing up with Caitlyn, who was married to Kris Jenner from 1991 to 2013. While Khloé praised Caitlyn for never trying to replace their father, Robert Kardashian Sr., and for maintaining healthy boundaries, Kourtney disagreed. 'That wasn't my experience,' Kourtney said. 'Caitlyn tried to be controlling and bossy. I was told certain friends couldn't come over.' She further revealed that her strained relationship with Caitlyn often led to 'yelling wars,' and recounted one incident where she attempted to call her dad but Caitlyn hung up the phone. 'I would be like, 'I wanna call my Dad,' and [Caitlyn] would hang up the phone,' she said. 'We would have yelling wars.' The emotional distance from Caitlyn eventually led Kourtney to move in with her father during her teenage years, a decision that surprised Khloé. 'I thought you didn't like him because he was replacing Dad,' Khloé admitted, gaining new insight into her sister's experience. Khloé Kardashian reveals a KUWTK producer forced her to talk about her father's death
Khloé Kardashian has opened up about one of her most uncomfortable experiences as a reality TV star. The Kardashians star, 40, spoke about being forced to speak about her father's death on an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians in season one. Khloé's father, Robert Kardashian, died of esophageal cancer in September 2003, two months after receiving the diagnosis. He was 59. Khloé was only 19 when her dad passed away and when KUWTK launched in 2007 one of the first episodes was focused on memories of the attorney who successfully defended O.J. Simpson against charges he had killed his ex-wife Nicole Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman. In episode number five then then 24-year-old Khloe was still having a difficult time processing it. She became teary and walked out of the confessional. The entrepreneur discussed that episode on her podcast Khloé in Wonderland with grief expert David Kessler. In her conversation with the founder, Khloé spoke about her anger surrounding her father's death. 'For about three years, I was incredibly angry,' the Good American founder explained. 'I was filming my show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, and in season one, I remember one of my producers was making me do an interview about my dad 'cause I wouldn't talk about my dad,' she said. 'At that time, if I spoke about him, I would just break down,' Khloé said of her grief at the time, adding she was annoyed she was being required to visit a topic she didn't want to talk about. Looking back, she described the relief at being able to let some of those feelings go. 'It was as if a house got lifted off of me after that conversation,' she said. 'I was kicking and screaming while doing it, but as soon as I had that conversation, that was the last time that I cried when talking about my dad, in a bad way.' Khloé said she is now 'at peace' with her father's death. Khloé was only 19 when her dad died in 2003, and still found it difficult to speak about when the show launched in 2007. She said she was forced by a producer to talk about her feelings in a confessional 'I let go of all of this guilt and anger. Now I can talk about my dad with smiles and happiness and admiration and understanding,' she explained, especially now that she is a parent herself. Kessler told Khloé facing such a diagnosis was 'brutal' it must have been difficult for for her dad to think about having to 'say goodbye'. He also guessed Robert he may not have told them his diagnosis was was terminal because he couldn't face or, or was hoping to beat the disease. 'It's the best he could do,' he explained. 'It's how society taught him.' Regarding the producer's alleged actions, he said, 'I say people need to do this in their own time, in their own way, so I wish you would have had more choice in that,' adding, 'somehow the camera, the audience, became a safe place for you to talk.'
