Kia Carens Clavis EV Confirmed For Debut In July 2025, Here's What To Expect
After launching the Kia Carens Clavis last month, the South Korean automaker is now gearing up for the launch of the Kia Carens Clavis EV in India. The brand has now confirmed that the electrified iteration of the Carens Clavis will be launched in July 2025. While the exact date for the launch is yet to be announced, here is what you can expect from the premium electric MPV. Kia Carens Clavis EV: Powertrain Expected The Kia Carens Clavis is likely to borrow the battery from the Hyundai Creta EV, i.e., a 42 kWh battery and a 51.4 kWh battery pack, available as options. These battery pack options are expected to deliver a range of 390 km and 473 km, respectively. It is expected to get three-pod LED headlamps enclosed in a triangular housing, angular LED DRLs, a closed-off grille in the front, and more. Also, Kia is expected to equip the Carens Clavis EV with newly designed aero-specific alloy wheels. The electrified MPV is expected to get a 22.62-inch dual-screen setup, which is the same setup used in the Seltos, consisting of a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment display, ventilated front seats, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, and more. The Kia Carens Clavis EV is expected to be priced around Rs 16 lakh - Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). Upon launch, the Kia Carens Clavis EV will rival the likes of the Tata Harrier EV and the Hyundai Creta EV.

Kia Carens Clavis fuels strong May sales, EV variant expected to launch soon
Interestingly, the company revealed that the next product from Kia is slated for a launch in July. This is most likely going to be the Kia Carens Clavis based EV Check Offers The Korean carmaker, Kia India has reported a year-on-year growth of 14.43 per cent in May 2025, with total sales of 22,315 vehicles as compared to 19,500 units sold in May 2024. The company noted that the recently launched Kia Carens Clavis has received an overwhelming response. The MPV was launched at a starting price of ₹ 11.49 lakh, ex-showroom. Kia Carens Clavis EV: Here's what to expect The upcoming Kia Carens EV would come with a design that is similar to the Carens Clavis. There would be some distinctive styling elements as well. Being an electric car, it would come with a closed off grille resembling the Kia EV9. Also, there would be revamped front and rear bumpers, while the alloy wheels too would sport new design. The spyshot suggests that it will come with a higher ground clearance and there would be a new suspension setup as well. Kia Carens EV would come loaded with a host of features. In that case, it would get energy from a 45 kWh battery pack paired with an electric motor that works in the entry-level Hyundai Kona EV in global markets. The Carens EV is expected to get a front axle-mounted electric motor. Kia is yet to reveal any specification detail about the EV. However, expect the Carens EV to offer generous range on a single charge. This information was confirmed at the launch of the Carens Clavis, that the brand will be launching the Carens Clavis later this year in the Indian market and it will be the most affordable electric vehicle in Kia's portfolio. In the spy shots, it can be seen that the Carens Clavis EV uses new EV-specific wheel covers that help with aerodynamics and efficiency. The previous spy shots have revealed that the charging port will be positioned in the front, which makes it easier to position the car while charging the car. Usually, when the charging port is positioned on a fender or the quarter panel, the driver needs to position the car in such a way that the charging cable can reach the charging port. The same will be true for the all-electric setup would be carried over but we can expect few tweaks to the bumper considering that there would be a charging flap in the front. The new lighting elements are inspired by the new Kia EV3 that was unveiled in the global market. The same design language will be seen on the upcoming vehicles as well. Kia is trying to streamline the design language for all its vehicles which will help their cars to be recognized as a Kia immediately. There is a camera present on the windshield, which confirms the availability of ADAS. Also, there are front parking sensors in the bumper. Expect the upcoming Kia Carens Clavis EV to come with side sensors as well, which were introduced to the recently launched Kia Syros. Hyundai India To Launch 26 New Cars By 2030 To Regain Top Spot
Hyundai India has today announced that it will be on a launching spree until the closing of FY'30. The South Korean carmaker will launch over 26 models in the country. The company has affirmed to launch 20 ICE vehicles and 6 EVs in India between FY'25 and FY'30. Also, there will be hybrid models entering the Indian showrooms of the brand. A strong hybrid vehicle could enter the Indian market as soon as September this year. The announcement came when it announced the Q4 results. It will start production at its Talegaon facility in Pune by Q3 2026. The production unit is expected to facilitate hybrid vehicles as well. Also, the company reported a 4 per cent dip in its consolidated profit after tax to Rs 1,614 crore for the fourth quarter ended on March 31, 2025, on account of lower sales in the domestic market. The automaker had posted a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 1,677 crore in the January-March period of 2023-24. Total revenue from operations rose to Rs 17,940 crore for the period under review as compared with Rs 17,671 crore in the year-ago period, Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) said in a regulatory filing. The company said it sold 1,53,550 units in the domestic market in the fourth quarter as compared with 1,60,317 units in the same period of FY24. Exports increased to 38,100 units in the fourth quarter as compared with 33,400 units in the year-ago period. For the entire 2023-24 fiscal, the company reported a consolidated PAT of Rs 5,640 crore, down 7 per cent as against Rs 6,060 crore in FY24. Revenue increased to Rs 69,193 crore for the last fiscal as compared with Rs 69,829 crore in the 2023-24 financial year. The company's domestic sales declined to 5,98,666 units last fiscal as against 6,14,721 units in FY24. Exports remained flat at 1,63,386 units in FY25 as compared with 1,63,155 units in 2023-24 fiscal.

New Delhi: Hyundai Motor India on Friday reported a 4 per cent dip in its consolidated profit after tax to Rs 1,614 crore for the fourth quarter ended on March 31, 2025, on account of lower sales in the domestic market. The automaker had posted a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 1,677 crore in the January-March period of 2023-24. Total revenue from operations rose to Rs 17,940 crore for the period under review as compared with Rs 17,671 crore in the year-ago period, Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) said in a regulatory filing. The company said it sold 1,53,550 units in the domestic market in the fourth quarter as compared with 1,60,317 units in the same period of FY24. The company said it plans to introduce 26 models, including six electric vehicles, between FY26 and FY30. Shares of the company were trading 1.67 per cent up at Rs 1,867 apiece on the BSE.
