Rotherham sign Barrow midfielder Spence
Rotherham United have signed midfielder Kian Spence on a two-year deal from League Two side 24-year-old attacking midfielder came through Middlesbrough's academy and had spells with Scarborough and Halifax Town before joining scored 14 goals in two seasons at Holker Street but has chosen to move on after his contract becomes the first acquisition for new manager Matt Hamshaw, who said the midfielder was an "exciting" addition to his squad."We have been tracking Kian over the last few years and are really excited by him," Hamshaw told the club website, external. Spence and Campbell set to leave Barrow
Kian Spence and Dean Campbell are to leave Barrow when their contracts expire at the end of the Under-19 midfielder Campbell has made 86 appearances over two seasons for the Bluebirds since joining the club two years ago from Scottish Premiership club 24-year-old, a regular last season as Barrow finished 16th in League Two, has been linked with a number of League One and League Two Spence has made the same number of appearances since joining from Halifax Town in the same summer transfer window, but both have turned down new have already brought in four new players during the close season, most recently midfielder Rekeem Harper from Port Vale.
