War 2 gets U/A 16+ rating, Kiara's bikini scene trimmed, inappropriate gesture cut
YRF's 'War 2' has received a U/A 16+ certificate by the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The board passed the spy drama with minor cuts and modifications, including a nine-second reduction in a bikini scene featuring Kiara per sources close to the production, the Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR-starrer was altered to a runtime of 171.44 minutes from the earlier 179.49 minutes. The board suggested a nine-second cut in Advani's bikini shot, reportedly from the 'Aawan Jaawan' Censor Board asks that sensual scenes of Kiara Advani be cut down to 50 percent from War 2. The other changes included muting around six scenes featuring "inappropriate references". "Makers have voluntarily revised the runtime to 171.44 minutes from the earlier 179.49 minutes, citing tighter narration," the source added.'War 2', directed by Ayan Mukerji, is now a two-hour, 52-minute-long film. The advance booking for the film has already begun. It is expected to garner solid pre-sales business, with high stakes at the box office.
