Indian Racing Festival 2025: Sai Sanjay secures big win for Speed Demons Delhi

The Indian Racing Festival (IRF) 2025 concluded Round 1 at the Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore on Sunday, with Speed Demons Delhi's Sai Sanjay taking victory in the IRL Driver B Race . He was followed by Fabienne Wohlwend of Goa Aces in second and Neel Jani of Kichcha's Kings Bengaluru in third. The race opened with Akshay Bohra leading from pole, but he lost pace mid-race, allowing Sanjay to move ahead. Behind him, Gowda, Rao and Jani fought for third, with Jani eventually recovering from an early power failure to secure a podium spot. In the IRL, Sanjay secured the win after moving ahead of early leader Akshay Bohra, who lost momentum after a strong start. Goa Aces driver Fabienne Wohlwend followed in second, while Neel Jani of Kichcha's Kings Bengaluru staged a recovery to finish third after suffering a power loss on lap one. Jani's late move on Akash Gowda sealed his podium place, capping a close contest for third between Gowda, Tijil Rao and Jani in the final laps. In Race 1, Apostolidis of Hyderabad Black Birds converted his pole start into victory, with Chennai Turbo Riders' Shane Chandaria finishing second and Kolkata Royal Tigers' Ishaan Madesh in third. Race 2 saw Madesh launch from fourth on the grid to seize the lead, maintaining it under pressure from French driver Sachel Rotge, who finished second. Apostolidis, after starting fifth, worked his way up to third. The JK Tyre FMSCI National Racing Championship brought its own drama. Dhruvh Goswami initially dominated the LGBF4 category, but his victories in Races 1 and 2 were overturned following a technical infringement, promoting Diljit to the top step. Goswami returned in Race 3 with a commanding drive to take the win, while Saran Vikram Tmars and Raghul Rangasamy secured second and third respectively. These results remain provisional pending scrutineering. With the curtain down on Round 1 in Coimbatore, focus now shifts to the Madras International Circuit in Chennai, a 3.7 km layout compared to Kari's 2.1 km. Teams and drivers will face new challenges at the longer circuit, which currently holds an IRL lap record of 1:30.681 set in 2022. Next weekend will determine whether the record stands as the competition intensifies. Discover everything about the automotive world at Times of India .

Bigg Boss Kannada: Kichcha Sudeep signs 4-year contract, sets ONLY one condition to host reality show?

Bigg Boss Kannada is all set to return with its 12th season, and to the audience's delight, the popular host Kichcha Sudeep is set to return as the host. For the uninitiated, the Kannada actor had announced publicly last year that he would be stepping down as the host after the 11th season. Kichcha Sudeep signs new contract with BB Kannada makers, sets one condition According to an OTT Play report, Kichcha Sudeep has signed a new 4-year contract with the makers of Bigg Boss Kannada and will continue as the host of the show from its upcoming season 12 to 15. While there had been previous buzz about the Max actor setting numerous conditions before taking up the hosting duties once more, in reality, Kichcha has only put one strong condition. The actor talked about the same and mentioned, 'They wanted it to start at a certain date, and I have requested them to push it ahead by 3-4 weeks, as I am committed to trying and ensuring that I have a film release in 2025. Billa Ranga Baashaa is ongoing and another project will be announced shortly.' Kichcha Sudeep unhappy with the representation of BB Kannada In one of his previous interviews with The Hindu, Kichcha Sudeep had hinted at the 'inside agendas' of the channel partner Colors, which prompted him to take a decision and announce his exit from the show. However, the actor now highlights that he never had any issues with the channel partner at the local level. However, he has been disappointed and unhappy by the manner in which BB Kannada is represented at the higher levels, which is not the case with the other regional formats of the house-based reality show. Kichcha Sudeep's work front Coming to his work front, the Kannada star was last seen in 2024 with his film Max, which was a super success at the box office. Moving on, he has Billa Ranga Baasha along with Max 2 in the pipeline.
