City of Erie releases 2025 summer recreation guide
The City of Erie's summer recreation guide is now available at City Hall, online, and at community centers.
The guide provides a list of free summer programs offered to city residents. There's a wide variety of activities that focus on students in grades K through 12.
City of Erie releases summer paving plans
One popular activity is the YMCA's Kids Club Summer Parks and Recreation program that will take place at five city parks and more.
'Summer can be a time where we lag a little bit in our education and our socialization, particularly maybe parents aren't home and kids are stuck in the house. This is a great way for kids in the neighborhood to come out and just play a little bit. They can get a meal, they can make new friend,s and we're usually within walking distance of their home,' said Deanna Renaud, vice president of marketing & financial development for the YMCA.
Guides can also be found at any Erie School District school.
