Don't 'panic' but will Silva get 'frustrated'?
We asked for your views on whether Fulham should engage in transfer activity with the first of the two summer transfer windows closing on Tuesday. Here are some of your comments:Gordon: I think we should wait until the first Club World Cup window is closed. We don't want to scramble for players and pay over the odds. Patience and quality are needed if we are to grow. Loan deal for Jack Grealish? Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall might be worth a go, and a striker who can score. Take from the Championship rather than a big name who costs a fortune and is no better than our current two strikers. Get Emile Smith-Rowe to be more consistent. Chris: I don't expect any business to be done on this transfer window. They shouldn't rush and panic buy before the deadline day. They need to use the time before the next transfer window to research and reflect on what the team needs to thrive next season. Ian: Though the club is in need of strengthening, it is always notoriously slow at transfers, so I can't see anyone being added before the close of the first window. I can imagine Marco getting frustrated again by the lack of movement in and out. Robbie: Definitely need to sit tight in this window on any outgoings unless it makes sense for the club and the player to sell them. Ultimately, survival will always be on most fans' minds, so any incomings should be better than anyone we have currently and bring some flair and excitement when they are on the pitch to get the crowd up!Alex: It's clear, we just missed out on Europe because of silly mistakes. Now let's correct this, make the step and sign key players, keep key players and create some squad depth at least. Keir: I wanted Fulham to at least make some advances to players. I expected exactly what has happened - nothing. Fulham will leave things to the last moment and try to grab a bargain for a mediocre player. We lack ambition under our owners.

Enzo Maresca puts Real Betis on hold as Chelsea boss relishes 'three finals' in Premier League
Enzo Maresca insisted Chelsea have 'three more finals' before the Conference League final, as their race for Champions League football continues. The Blues set up a showpiece final against Real Betis in Wroclaw at the end of the month as they beat Djurgarden 1-0 at Stamford Bridge on Thursday night to confirm a 5-1 semi-final aggregate win. Chelsea have been favourites to win the Conference League ever since they entered the competition in the play-off qualification rounds in August and are now in the final. But they are also chasing a place in the Champions League next season and know they must finish in the Premier League's top five to achieve it. They must face two of the sides they are directly competing against in that race in their final three games of the league season — Newcastle on Sunday and Nottingham Forest on the final day — as well as hosting Manchester United on May 16. 'We were trying to work every day to reach the final, and now we are in the final,' a delighted Maresca said after Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall scored the only goal of the second leg at Stamford Bridge. 'We have 20 days to prepare the final. Before that, we have three more Premier League finals. 'It's very important [to be in the final] because we can be the first club to win all the [UEFA] competitions. 'Hopefully we can win this trophy. But first the most important game for us is Newcastle. We are going to play the best XI for every game.' There was a delay before Maresca arrived for his post-match press conference, with the Italian confirming it was because he was watching extra-time between Fiorentina and eventual finalists Betis in the other semi-final. 'I just finished watching the game inside,' Maresca said. 'I'm happy to face Betis, especially because of Manuel Pellegrini. He is one of my professional dads. I played for four years for Sevilla, which is a derby with Betis. I know they [Betis fans] don't love me.' Maresca played under Pellegrini at Malaga and was his assistant manager when the Chilean was in charge of West Ham.

Maresca excited to face 'football dad' in final
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca says he is excited to face his "professional dad" after Manuel Pellegrini-managed Real Betis qualified for the Conference League final. Midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall scored as Chelsea won 1-0 on the night against Djurgarden and 5-1 on aggregate while Spanish club Betis needed extra time to beat Fiorentina 4-3 on aggregate over both legs. The results have led to Maresca facing a manager he has both played under and worked alongside having been a member of Pellegrini's squad at Malaga before later becoming his assistant at West Ham. Maresca admitted he was late for the press conference because he was watching Betis win in extra time and said of the result: "I'm happy to face Betis, especially because of Manuel Pellegrini. He is like my professional dad. So we'll be very happy. "I had him four years, two as a player and two I was his coach, assistant coach. So I know exactly how he thinks about players, but the most important thing is that he's honest, he's a good person, he always tries to be honest with the player. "And I try, personally, I try to learn a lot about his way." Maresca also enjoyed the most successful part of his playing career at Betis's fierce rivals Sevilla, winning two Europa League trophies and a Super Cup, so expects to face crowd taunts. "I played four years for Sevilla, that is a big derby against Betis," he said. "We also won the derby 1-0, and I scored a goal. I know that they don't like me, they don't love me. "I met my wife in Seville, she's from Seville. My first son born in Seville. I played for Seville, but no doubt that I want to win the final." Chelsea will want to finish the job in Wroclaw, Poland on 28 May, three days after the Premier League season finishes. Maresca continued: "For me personally, it's very important, especially because we can give the chance to this club and these fans to be the first club in Europe to win all the competitions [having previously won the Champions League and Europa League]. "The Conference League is a starting point to build a winner mentality, and then to try to win more things and more titles."
