Digital Desk: Lady Bears earn scholar athlete honors
I'm Dan Lucy on the Ozarks First digital desk.
In our Bear Nation Update, the Missouri State Lady Bears are starting to accumulate post season awards.
Today both Kyrah Daniels and Kiley Bess were named to the Valley's scholar athlete second team.
Daniels is a sophomore guard who has a 4.00 GPA in exercise management.
Kiley Bess is a senior guard who has a 4.00 GPA as she pursues a masters degree in sports management.
Both Daniels and Bess are also candidates for more post season awards that will announced Wednesday.
The Lady Bears will open the Valley tournament Friday against the winner of Illinois-Chicago and Evansville.
They play on Thursday.
