Colorado men's basketball finalizes 2025-26 nonconference schedule

Colorado men's basketball finalizes 2025-26 nonconference schedule Colorado men's basketball recently announced it was taking a summer pre-season trip to Australia and now the program has finalized its 13-game nonconference schedule for the 2025-26 season. The schedule includes the Acrisure Series, a multi team invitational tournament in Palm Desert, with the Buffaloes' opponents still to be determined. CU's first game of the season will be an exhibition matchup against Grace College in Boulder marking a homecoming for forward Elijah Malone who began his college career with the Lancers. The Buffs' nonconference slate is home-heavy with 10 of the 13 currently scheduled games taking place in at the CU Events Center. Buffs fans should circle key matchups like the Dec. 6 rivalry game at Colorado State, a Nov. 14 home clash with Kim English's Providence squad and a Dec. 20 showdown against former Pac-12 rival Stanford in Phoenix. With the nonconference schedule not being the most challenging, the Buffs need to get off to a strong start in 2025 after finishing last season with a 14-21 overall record and 3-17 in the Big 12. Colorado basketball adds three games to its 2025-26 nonconference schedule

Colorado basketball adds three games to its 2025-26 nonconference schedule Colorado basketball is putting together its 2025-26 nonconference schedule while looking for transfer portal additions following several departures. After scheduling a game with former Pac-12 foe Stanford last week, the team announced Monday three more games to its 2025-26 nonconference slate. The Buffs will be one of the teams competing at the 2025 Acrisure Series in Palm Desert, California. Colorado will play two games at the Acrisure Arena from Nov. 25-28. The multi-team tournament featured 21 teams last season, but specific opponents for this year's addition have yet to be announced. CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein also reported that Colorado will begin a home-and-home series with Providence, beginning this upcoming season with a game in Boulder. The exact dates are to be determined, and neither school has announced the plans. However, the two programs' coming together for a series is not surprising due to their connections. Providence head coach Kim English was a Colorado assistant under Tad Boyle from 2017-2019. English's assistant coach Nate Tomlinson was also an assistant on Boyle's staff after being a four-year letter winner for Colorado from 2008-11. Colorado's nonconference slate is coming together and should be a good test for a Buffaloes team that likely does not have its best player on the roster yet. The transfer portal closes on April 22, and the Buffs have yet to make an addition. Follow Charlie Strella on X, Threads, and Instagram.
