Bedfordview group to hold Bingo night fundraiser on August 2
Support the 1st Bedfordview Scout Group's Bingo night fundraiser to take place on August 2, starting at 18:00.
The 1st Bedfordview Scout Group is celebrating 97 years of adventure, leadership, and community spirit.
For nearly a century, the 1st Bedfordview Scout Group has played a vital role in the community, shaping young people into confident, capable, and responsible adults.

'From its humble beginnings in a barn to the well-established Scout Hall on Florence Avenue and Disa Road, the group continues to thrive.
'Our mission is to guide youth through the Scout Promise and Law, helping them become self-fulfilled individuals and positive members of society.
'Alongside our Scouts, we are proud to support Girl Guides, who also enjoy engaging programmes that build leadership and life skills,' said Gabriella Bajkay.
Through weekly meetings and outdoor adventures such as camping, hiking, pioneering, and competitions like Kontiki and Kim Shield, Cubs, Scouts, Rovers, and Girl Guides gain valuable life skills and form lasting friendships.

'Each Friday evening, our Scout Hall comes alive with energy and learning.
Whether it's first aid, teamwork, leadership, or exploring nature, Scouting and Guiding teach practical skills in a fun and meaningful way.
'A highlight of the programme is the pursuit of the Springbok Scout Award, the highest achievement in South African Scouting, and a true testament to a Scout's growth and commitment,' she added.
