On May 30 and 31, indulge in an exclusive 7-course menu crafted by Yuho Hozumi, Chef at Kimpton Shinjuku Tokyo, in collaboration with Haflidi Halldórsson, an Iceland-certified Master Chef. This limited-time experience showcases signature Icelandic ingredients such as seafood, lamb and Ísey Skyr. Taste of Iceland Tokyo
'Taste of Iceland' is a festival where you can experience Iceland with all five senses, arriving in Japan for the first time! It will be held across Shibuya and Shinjuku between May 30th and 31st. The annual event has been held in North American cities for over 20 years, attracting more than 5,000 visitors annually. The host cities for 2025 are scheduled to be Tokyo, Nashville, Boston, and Toronto. 'Taste of Iceland Tokyo' will allow visitors to fully enjoy the charms of Iceland through events held from various angles, including Icelandic music, food culture, literature, art, and design, as well as special lectures on the Northern Lights and the 2026 total solar eclipse. Special guests at the event will include Iceland's President Hattra Támasdóttir, Reykjavik Mayor Heida Björg Hilmisdóttir, leading Icelandic music scene artist Ásgeir, musician JDFR, as well as award-winning designers and authors.
