Even In Dubai, NAHATÉ Is An Over-The-Top Dining And Entertainment Spot
Gate Building, Trade Centre area in front of DIFC In November 2024, co-founders Sam Flerentsev and Jenya Makeevva opened Nahate. This family-run fine dining restaurant in Dubai, with a cocktail bar, nightclub and private membership club, may be unrivaled in its opulence. Dubai is one of the top ten most visited cities in the world, attracting both leisure and business international travelers from across the globe. Known for its striking architecture, significant role in trade and finance, and rich cultural heritage, the city's reputation for luxury and extravagance has also made it a major draw for tourists. Nahate motto: More Than Home Nahate raises the bar in terms of sophisticated gourmet dining and captivating entertainment venues. Deriving its name from the Russian word that means 'home,' this joyful venue was created as a love letter by the founders, an expression of their shared journey. Spanning the entire third floor of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), this sanctuary features the lavish restaurant, two membership-only spaces, and the world's first Jacob & Co. Cigar Lounge. From Thursday to Saturday, the space transforms into a vibrant nightspot with entertainment with views of the Dubai skyline. . The jungle-themed decor in the dining room has spiritual totems and hand-drawn animal artwork, including tigers and leopards, that tell a story. Custom-made fabrics with detailed embroidery and bespoke furnishings are used throughout. The co-creators call their design approach 'jungle meets jewel box,' hoping guests experience the ambiance of spending time with friends at a luxury private estate. In the Red Room, a custom Baccarat chandelier descends over a signature Chef's Table, making it a sculptural element in the private dining room. It seats 16 guests who are surrounded by walls covered in creamy, neutral tones of faux suede (which also helps dampen the sound) with rich red acceents. Earlier this month, it auctioned what has been called the most expensive cocktail in the world for 37,500€ ($41,160 USD). The cocktail, crafted and served by celebrated bartender Salvatore 'The Maestro' Calabrese, was made with a custom blend of PATRÓN tequila that combined three exceptional aged tequilas with now-extinct Kina Lillet from 1950 and Angostura Bitters from the 1930s. Celebrating the 260th anniversary of Baccarat, the drink was served in two rare 1937 Baccarat crystal glasses created for the 1937 International Exhibition of Arts and Techniques in Modern Life in Paris. The winning bidder was able to take home the exclusive ingredients and the Baccarat glassware. World's Most Expensive Cocktail Sells for $42,000 in Dubai
Featuring rare 1950s wine and vintage bitters, the world's most expensive cocktail was auctioned in DIFC for USD 42,000. Apr 15, 2025 Dubai has officially entered the record books with the sale of the world's most expensive cocktail, which fetched AED 156,000 (approx. USD 42,500) during a private auction at Nahate, a high-end restaurant located in the city's DIFC district. Crafted with a bespoke blend of rare ingredients, the cocktail included a bottle of Kina Lillet from the 1950s and aromatic bitters dating back to the 1930s. It was served in a 1937 Baccarat crystal glass that had previously been showcased in a museum. The glass was part of the final sale and gifted to the winning bidder, adding further value to the one-of-a-kind experience. The event also marked the debut of what is believed to be the world's most expensive mocktail. Priced at AED 12,099 (around USD 3,200), the drink was launched at Jimmydixs in Al Jaddaf and is served in a silver goblet. Made from a blend of premium juices and 24-karat gold water, the mocktail comes paired with two gold-garnished appetisers.
