Tesco urges customers to not use product and return to store immediately
The supermarket has issued a product recall warning over some of its health and beauty items
Supermarket giant Tesco has issued a product recall for several health and beauty items due to safety concerns. Product recalls are a way for companies to inform the public about issues with their products that could potentially pose a risk to consumer safety.
The supermarket giant has initiated a recall for various batches of its Tesco Kind and Pure Facial Cleansing Wipes. The product recall is due to unsatisfactory microbiological testing results, which detected the presence of pluralibacter gergoviae bacteria, making these products potentially unsafe for use.
The recall comes after another supermarket, Farmfoods, recalled ready meals over a "potential health risk."

The recall was made on July 29, reports the Liverpool Echo.

Affected batch codes: 5128723, 5129723, 5130723, 5143723 5144723, 5145723, 5146723, 5163723, 5164723, 5168723, 5169723, 5188723, 5176715, 5177715
Product: Tesco Kind and Pure Radiant Facial Cleansing Wipes Vitamin C 25 Pack 159g
Affected batch codes: 5187723, 5186723, 5188723, 5154715, 5155715, 5156715
What should you do if you have purchased one of these products?
Tesco advises customers who have purchased any of the affected products not to use them.
Instead they should return the product to their local Tesco store where they will be given a full refund.
No receipt is necessary for the refund.
According to Tesco no other products are affected by this recall.
