King of the Ring used to have its own pay-per-view, starting with Bret Hart's win in 1993. These days, the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments take place on Raw and Smackdown, with the final matches scheduled for Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia on June 28.

The winners get World championship matches at SummerSlam, which is a far more valuable prize than the right to walk around with a crown on your head. Gunther and Nia Jax won the tournaments last year, and they both won their championship matches at SummerSlam in Cleveland.

Sami Zayn and Roxanne Perez won their four-way matches on Raw to advance to the tournament semifinals. Next week's Raw will feature Sheamus vs. Bronson Reed vs. Rusev vs. a mystery opponent; and Stephanie Vaquer vs. Ivy Nile vs. Raquel Rodriguez vs. Asuka.
On Smackdown, these are the first-round matchups:
· Charlotte Flair vs. Chelsea Green vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Candice LeRae

· Nia Jax vs. Piper Niven vs. Michin vs. Jade Cargill
· Randy Orton vs. LA Knight vs. Carmelo Hayes vs. Aleister Black
· Cody Rhodes vs. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Andrade vs. Damien Priest
In an interesting twist, the semifinal matchups will be Raw vs. Smackdown. So, who's going to win? Charlotte Flair is the favorite on the women's side. She has racked up more than a dozen World titles, just like her dad. And she calls herself the Queen!
On the men's side, I'm going to go way off book and predict that the mystery opponent is going to win the entire thing. Who might that be?

Ron Killings is the hottest wrestler in WWE, surviving unemployment and coming back with a new name and attitude. In the same way that Kofi Kingston and Jey Uso rode a massive wave of fan support to a World championship, the former R-Truth could go all the way to SummerSlam and win the WWE title in a rematch with John Cena.
