Kingston FURY Renegade G5 PCIe 5.0 SSD Now Available

Home » Emerging technologies » Storage » Kingston FURY Renegade G5 PCIe 5.0 SSD Now Available Kingston FURY, the high-performance division of Kingston Technology Company, Inc., has introduced the Kingston FURY Renegade G5, a next-generation PCIe 5.0 SSD designed for gamers, creators, and performance-focused users. The new SSD delivers sequential read and write speeds of up to 14,800MB/s and 14,000MB/s respectively. It uses the Silicon Motion SM2508 controller and 3D TLC NAND, offering up to 2,200,000 IOPS for fast data handling. It supports advanced workloads such as high-resolution video editing, 3D rendering, and intensive gaming. Thanks to PCIe Gen5 x4 support and DRAM caching, the Renegade G5 helps eliminate storage bottlenecks. Its low-power DDR4 cache and 6nm lithography ensure efficient thermal control while reducing power consumption. The 12-layer PCB also improves signal quality and data integrity. Available in 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB capacities, the SSD uses a compact M.2 2280 form factor and is compatible with Gen3 and Gen4 platforms. It supports DirectStorage and is backed by a limited five-year warranty and technical support. Key specifications: Speeds up to 14,800MB/s read and 14,000MB/s write IOPS performance up to 2.2 million Endurance up to 4.0PBW depending on capacity Power consumption ranges from 6.6W to 9.5W depending on load and model. Operating temperature is 0°C to 70°C. The drive weighs between 7.3g and 7.7g and has a mean time between failures (MTBF) of 2 million hours. Liny Cheliyan, Business Manager – Prosumer Flash and SSD, Kingston EMEA, said, 'Between the power of Kingston FURY Renegade G5 SSD and Kingston FURY memory, high-power users and hardware enthusiasts can create their ultimate system.' Kingston Introduces Enterprise Class Gen5 Data Center SSD

Kingston today announced its latest data center SSD, DC3000ME PCIe 5.0 NVMe U.2 for server applications. The latest enterprise class U.2 SSD utilises a high-speed PCIe 5.0 NVMe interface and 3D eTLC NAND, while being backward-compatible with PCIe 4.0 servers and backplanes. The ideal drive for a wide range of server applications such as AI, HPC, OLTP, cloud services and edge computing, DC3000ME is engineered to meet strict QoS requirements to ensure I/O consistency and low latency. For ultimate data security and to safeguard against sudden power loss DC3000ME includes on-board power loss protection and AES 256-bit encryption. 'DC3000ME was designed to provide leading edge performance and ensure predictable random I/O performance as well as predictable latencies over a wide range of server workloads,' said Tony Hollingsbee, SSD business manager, Kingston EMEA. 'A key design criteria that system integrators, hyperscale data centers and cloud service providers can depend on in both Gen4 and Gen5 NVMe servers.' DC3000ME is available in 3.84TB, 7.68TB and 15.36TB capacities and is backed by a five-year warranty, free technical support, and legendary Kingston reliability. 0 0
