RCMP renew calls to find missing 40-year-old

Travis Bittern, 40, was last seen walking south on Highway 6 south of Wabowden on June 27, 2025, and has not been seen since. According to the initial report from RCMP, family said Bittern was heading to Kinosao Sipi Cree Nation. RCMP have followed up on tips and leads in the investigation, but have not been able to find him. RCMP said Bittern is six-foot-three, weighs 210 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo of a feather on his right arm. Bittern was wearing a black t-shirt and plaid pajama pants when he was last seen. Anyone who was travelling on Highway 6 near Wabowden between 9 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. and may have seen Bittern is asked to call RCMP at 204-689-2152.

Social Sharing Manitoba RCMP say they're still looking for a man who went missing near Wabowden, Man., over a month ago. Travis Bittern, 40, was last seen on June 27 at 9:45 a.m. walking southbound along Highway 6 about two kilometres south of the community. His family previously said he'd indicated he was heading to Kinosao Sipi Cree Nation (also known as Norway House), which is near the northern tip of Lake Winnipeg. Police said in an update Wednesday they've continued to investigate, but have been unable to locate the 40-year-old. The update said he was wearing a black t-shirt and blue plaid pyjama pants when he went missing, and that he has a tattoo of a feather on his right arm. Bittern is described as being six feet three inches tall and weighing 210 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Police are now asking anyone who was travelling on the highway near Wabowden between 9:00 and 9:45 a.m. the day he went missing to contact RCMP at 204-689-2152 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers online or at 1-800-222-8477.

A 40-year-old man last seen walking down a highway in western Manitoba in late June has been reported missing, RCMP say. Travis Bittern was last seen walking south down Highway 6, about two kilometres south of Wabowden, at 9:45 a.m. on June 27, police said. At 5 p.m. on June 30, he was reported missing from an address on Lakeside Drive in Wabowden, police said in a news release Friday. Bittern is described as six feet three inches tall and weighing 210 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. Bittern's family said in their last conversation with him, the 40-year-old indicated he was heading to Kinosao Sipi Cree Nation, also known as Norway House. Police have not been able to find him.
