Buzz in the garage and $50,000 cash, will go to a lucky ticket holder on Aug. 26. Proceeds will go to purchase high-tech cardio-respiratory monitors for the Alberta Children's Hospital, which will improve response times for critically ill children in intensive care. Article content It's the 14th year that Homes by Avi has contributed a dream home in this lottery. They've chosen to showcase the Lincoln, a two-storey, front-garage model featuring four bedrooms and 3½ bathrooms. The show home, situated on a quiet lot in Sirocco at Pine Creek by Anthem, is open every weekend for viewing. As one of its most popular floor plans, based on buyer feedback, the Lincoln is an easy-to-love home that everyone can picture themselves living in. Article content The grand prize home boasts 10-foot ceilings on the main floor and a vaulted staircase to the second floor, which is bright and airy with nine-foot ceilings. The winner gets a complete, turn-key package that includes Whirlpool appliances with furniture and accessories which have been professionally curated by show home interior design manager Julie Punter and her team. The interior design is Scandinavian/mid-century modern, styled in calm neutrals with pops of blue that begin with a smoky blue backsplash in the gourmet kitchen. Article content Article content 'We do different and unique things with every show home, but with lottery homes we get to play around a bit. We want lottery homes to be as dreamy as possible and dress them up with things people don't normally see,' Punter says. Article content In addition to Sirocco, Homes by Avi builds this model in Osprey Hill, Rangeview, Vermillion Hill, Rockland Park, Walden and in Lanark Landing in Airdrie. The lottery reveal on May 23 was the first time Amir saw the Lincoln fully completed and staged. Article content 'There was an overwhelming sense of pride. Knowing that our design and construction team created a home so inspiring that it motivates people to purchase tickets is incredibly rewarding. Every home we build is beautiful, but this one holds a special place in my heart, knowing that ticket sales will go to purchase life saving equipment at the Alberta Children's Hospital,' she says.
