Aloha Festivals 2025 to honor Hawaiian culinary traditions
Aloha Festivals has announced that they are looking for applicants to be a part of the 77th Annual Floral Parade, which will be held on Sept. 27 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The floral parade will march from the 'Ewa entrance of Ala Moana Regional Park, through Kalākaua Avenue, and end at Queen Kapi'olani Regional Park.
The parade will feature participants that reflect the rich diversity of Hawai'i's communities – from floats, high school marching bands, and pāʻū equestrian units to community organizations, local leaders, and more.
'Community participation is essential for the success of the floral parade. Whether you are a small business, nonprofit, school group, or other organization, this beloved tradition is for everyone,' said Makana McClellan, Aloha Festivals parade chair. 'The parade also presents a unique opportunity to share your mission, engage directly with thousands of spectators, and become a memorable part of Hawai'i's largest and longest-running cultural festival.'
The 2025 theme, 'Ko Kula Uka, Ko Kula Kai – Those of the Upland, Those of the Shore: Mauka to Makai,' emphasizes the tradition of exchanging food and resources from the mountains to the are now being accepted for many parade participants, including marching bands, floats, trolleys, and walking units.
