NBA Finals Features Unexpected Caitlin Clark Twist

NBA Finals Features Unexpected Caitlin Clark Twist originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Caitlin Clark has faithfully followed the Indiana Pacers' incredible run to the NBA Finals thus far. The Indiana Fever superstar has attended multiple home games at Gainbridge Fieldhouse throughout the postseason, and it would not be a surprise if she makes an appearance again once the series against the Oklahoma City Thunder shifts to Indianapolis for Games 3 and 4. Advertisement Clark, however, was not in Paycom Center in Oklahoma on Thursday for the series opener between these two championship-seeking sides. Despite her absence from the highly anticipated matchup, the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year was still able to play a role in Game 1, albeit in a minor way. This is after Thunder guard Alex Caruso was seen wearing Clark's Nike Kobe 5 Proto "Indiana Fever" Player Edition for the first game of the series on Thursday night. Clark's "Indiana Fever" PE comes in midnight navy blue and features a yellow-red gradient fade on the Nike swoosh logo. The bright crimson red laces add a vivid contrast, as does the orange and yellow paneling on the heel. Advertisement Clark has worn this pair for a WNBA game, but the fact that it's made an appearance in the NBA Finals is definitely worth noting--especially since it was worn by a player on the opposing team. As of the moment, there is still no word on Clark's signature shoe with Nike. There has been a lot of anticipation from the fans, but so far, the sportswear giants have left her avid supporters to settle with her Kobe Proto PEs. Clark's signature shoe should come soon enough, and considering all the hype surrounding the 23-year-old, it would not be a surprise at all if those immediately sell out once they officially hit stands.
