5-star OT Kodi Greene flips commitment from Oregon Ducks
The Oregon Ducks took a couple of punches in the recruiting world on Thursday morning. To start things off, 5-star offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell, the No. 1 player in the 2026 class, was predicted to commit to the Georgia Bulldogs over the Ducks. Not long after that, fellow 5-star OT Kodi Greene, a long-time Oregon commit, announced that he was flipping his commitment to the Washington Huskies. Advertisement The 5-star OT from Mater Dei in California was one of the top prospects in Oregon's 2026 class, but after a recent visit to Seattle, he decided to go up north and commit to Jedd Fisch and the Huskies. While there is still a long way to go before signing day in December, and the Ducks will undoubtedly continue to push to flip Greene back, this is a tough blow, to say the least. At one point in time, the Ducks had the No. 1 ranked class in the 2026 cycle, but they have suffered some decommitments and flips since then and now sit at No. 17 in the rankings. Of course, recruiting rankings in the month of April do not matter, and everything is fluid until December. The Ducks are still in a good spot to land 5-star QB Jared Curtis and a number of other high-end players in this cycle.
