From your favourite cartoon characters, food items, to even dainty accessories like bows, safety pins, chains, bears, etc. , your shoes can hold all kinds of charms that best depict your personality. What started as a trend in the West has now spread among shoeheads in India as well. According to Neeti Patwa, founder of a bespoke jewellery boutique store, 'The trend allows individuals to personalise their look. Just like jewellery, shoe charms can reflect your mood, personality, or even the occasion. They're small, but they stand out, and they can make even the most basic pair of shoes pop.' Coach, Miu Miu offer charms made of leather, with metal accents and branded motifs. Simone Rocha's collaboration with Crocs is one of the best-known interpretations of this trend. For me, my charms need to mean something.' For Suhana, the choice of charms depends largely on her outfit, likes and mood. 'Jordans, French fries, macaroons, sports games I follow, etc. , are a few things I like. So I buy and use those charms.' Meanwhile, Nandini opts for a mix of fun and cute elements. 'It's like building a tiny red carpet moment for my feet. My shoes keep up with the drama.' Experiment with styles Although most popularly used on sneakers, charms can also be added to heels or boots. They are easily available on e-commerce websites at affordable prices. Jack London Square wine shop, minimo, to close permanently

(KRON) — In another blow to Oakland's struggling Jack London Square, minimo, a wine shop and wine bar that has operated for 10 years in the estuary-side mixed-use area, will close permanently this week. Describing itself as a 'neighborhood wine shop + wine bar celebrating natural wins that exhibit a true expression of their origins,' minimo will pour its last glass on Saturday, April 5. 'It is with sadness, but also a great deal of pride in all we've accomplished, that minimo will close on April 5th,' read a post on the business's Facebook page. 'minimo opened in 2015 as an inclusive gathering space where people — all people — were welcomed to enjoy and learn about natural wine without pretense. It's deeply heartwarming to see how a community has taken shape here.' World's coolest Taco Bell to fully reopen Friday In the post, the business went on to say it was 'most proud of supporting up-and-coming winemakers — and especially the women, BIPOC, and queer winemakers who still find themselves underrepresented in the industry.' The wine bar also gave special thanks to 'all the chefs who popped up,' the 'makers who supplied us with small-batch confections,' and 'artists who brought inspiration' to the space. 'Thank you for letting us select the bottles, week after week, that not only complemented your dinners and made you look cool at parties, but also supported an ecosystem of small producers around the world who treat farming as a calling and winemaking as a sacred craft,' the post continued. 'Thank you for showing up, for your friendship, and trust in us. It's been a wonderful journey, taken together.' The post gave no reason for the closure. However, Jack London Square has seen a number of businesses abruptly shutter in the past few months. In January, the Hyatt Waterfront Hotel closed. Other recent closures at the square include the Left Bank Brasserie, and Korean-themed brewery, Dokkaebier. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
