Museum to get hi-tech auditorium
Lucknow: The state museum will soon get a hi-tech auditorium and digital library with an aim to enhance its academic capabilities.
The existing hall at the museum will be transformed into a modern auditorium at a cost of Rs 1.72 crore.
The facility will be equipped with advanced features including a Dolby Atmos sound system, high-quality projector and improved acoustics.
The renovated space will accommodate 130 people and feature enhanced lighting and sound systems, false ceiling, carpets and floor lighting.
The auditorium will host workshops, seminars, conferences and lectures. In a parallel development, the historic Kothi building behind the museum will house a vintage-themed café and a digital library, being developed at a cost of Rs 4.87 crore.
"The auditorium, library, and café are expected to open in July this year," said Shrishti Dhawan, additional director of UP culture department. The project is spearheaded by culture and tourism minister Jaiveer Singh and principal secretary Mukesh Meshram.
