starrer 'Pongala' has been rocked by a serious leak. Key portions of the film, including crucial climax scenes, have reportedly been circulated online. This has prompted the film's director
A.B. Binil
to take legal action.
The alleged leak involves high-stakes sequences central to the story.
Director alleges internal breach
In a formal complaint lodged at the Palarivattom Police Station, A.B. Binil accused the film's assistant director, Faisal Shah, of recording parts of the movie on a mobile phone during the shoot and later sharing them on social media.
As 'Pongala' is a action-heavy film with a tightly guarded climax, this breach has raised concerns as those were the pivotal scenes.

Story inspired by real events
'Pongala' blends action, comedy, and thriller elements. The movie draws inspiration from a real incident that took place in the early 2000s in the coastal stretch of Vypin Munambam.
Sreenath Bhasi will be headlining this action drama movie and the expectations are quite high. Directed and scripted by Binil himself, the film was shot extensively in the Vypin-Cherai region.
On the other hand, Sreenath Bhasi was last seen in the drama film 'Azadi' which received decent reviews.

The movie was directed by Jose George and the script was penned by Sagar Hari. The movie also featured the actors Lal, Rajesh Sharma, Vani Viswanath, Saiju Kurup and Salim Kumar in pivotal roles. Sreenath Bhasi's previous successful venture was 'Manjummel Boys'.
