Northwestern pitchers Dykstra and Kralik named GPAC Pitchers of the Week
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) – Two Northwestern College athletes were selected as GPAC players of the week on Tuesday.
Senior pitcher Drew Dykstra was named the conference Pitcher of the Week following his lone pitching performance last weekend against Hastings.
The Urbandale native threw a complete-game shutout to take down Hastings 6-0. On the day, Dykstra only allowed two hits and collected six strikeouts.
And fellow Red Raider Kate Kralik was also selected as the GPAC Pitcher of the Week.
In the senior's three appearances last week, Kralik went 2-0 with two complete games and one run allowed. Kralik struck out 15 batters and punched out 9 in a complete-game shutout at the College of Saint Mary.
Kralik currently leads the GPAC with 15 wins, is second with 100 strikeouts, and is third with a 1.99 ERA.
