Kris Aquino to undergo six-month preventive isolation in Tarlac
Kris Aquino announced she will enter preventive isolation for six months as she undergoes treatment for multiple autoimmune diseases. In an Instagram post on August 11, Aquino said she has another infusion session in six days, one of the strongest autoimmune immunosuppressants, alongside other medications that will 'totally wipe out' her immunity. She will be staying at her family's compound in Tarlac, fondly called 'Alto' by her Cojuangco relatives, after spending nearly two months at a private beach property. The TV host and actress shared that her decision to keep a low profile on social media was intentional, citing the worsening of her health condition. Aquino revealed that her autoimmune diseases have increased to 11, adding that she faces life-threatening ailments. She also gave updates on her sons. Her eldest, Josh, is temporarily living with a cousin, while her youngest, Bimby, continues to care for her. Aquino recently made headlines in July after revealing she had gained weight, reaching 112 pounds, her heaviest so far since her health struggles began.

Kris Aquino has revealed that she will enter six months of preventive isolation as part of her ongoing fight against multiple autoimmune diseases. On Instagram on Monday, the Queen of All Media shared that her autoimmune diseases 'were increasing in number,' forcing her to make a 'brave choice.' 'Trust me, it's difficult to accept every night when I sleep that there may be no tomorrow for me,' she wrote. Kris also shared that she recently spent almost two months at a private beach property owned by a 'kind and generous' family who wanted her to focus on recovery and faith. It was during this time that she decided to proceed with another round of powerful immunosuppressant infusion, which spans six to eight hours, combined with two other medications, one taken daily and another via injection. Kris said that the treatments will 'totally wipe out' her immunity, so she has to isolate for at least six months. 'I'll live in our compound in Tarlac; my Cojuangco cousins and I fondly call it Alto,' she said. 'Please continue praying, kailangan na kailangan ko,' she added. Kris Aquino opens up about heartbreak, reveals why her doctor ex left
For the first time since confirming she is single again, Kris Aquino opened up about her short-lived romance with a doctor and the painful reason behind their breakup. In an Instagram post, Kris shared that her former partner, whom she previously described as a doctor based in Makati, left her because he wanted more freedom and could not handle the reality of being with someone battling multiple autoimmune diseases. 'During this time of uncertainty, I choose to share my painful truth,' she wrote. 'The doctor I loved left me because he wanted the freedom to travel, to break free from needing to care for & the reality of Kris Aquino who had multiplying autoimmune diseases with so few treatment options.' She further revealed that he told her, 'Iniwan kita dahil mahirap kang mahalin, sobrang sikip ng paligid.' (I left you because you are difficult to love, and it feels too constricting.) Kris also clarified that even while they were together, he was properly compensated for his medical services. 'Enough time has passed: he did not love me. In my defense, he did receive the correct professional fees—even when we were a couple. End of that chapter (never akong natakot umamin ng katotohanan),' she added. She also expressed her hope that he would stop speaking ill of the doctors and close friends who continue to take care of her. In the same post, Kris gave an update on her health, revealing that her son Josh has been her pillar of support. She shared that he has been taking mixed martial arts classes and patiently helps her, even carrying her when needed, as she struggles with deep bone pain caused by Lupus Arthritis, Polymyositis, and Acute Fibromyalgia.
