2 Metra lines stopped after car hits bridge in Chicago
Train service was stopped on two Metra lines after a car hit a bridge on Friday morning. The crash at Armitage Avenue is impacting Metra's Union Pacific Northwest and Union Pacific North lines. No further details were immediately available on the crash. Metra Union Pacific Northwest train No. 605 is stopped near Ogilvie Transportation Center, and train No. 602 is stopped near Clybourn. Both inbound and outbound Metra UP-North are stopped near Clybourn. Kris Habermehl said a track inspection will need to be conducted for the trains to continue safely. This is a developing story. Deadly motorcycle crash shuts down lanes on Route 53 in Arlington Heights, Illinois
Illinois Route 53 is shut down in both directions after a deadly motorcycle crash in Arlington Heights, Illinois, early Monday morning. According to Illinois State Police, troopers responded to a crash involving a motorcycle and a dump truck near Rand Road just before 1:30 a.m. Kris Habermehl said the motorcycle driver hit a median, and the impact of the crash sent the driver into the southbound lanes. According to state police, the driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. All northbound and southbound lanes are closed. Traffic is being diverted to nearby exit ramps. The cause of the crash is unknown at this time. Police are investigating.

Deadly wrong-way crash shuts down northbound I-294 in north Chicago suburb
A deadly crash shut down the northbound lanes on I-294 in Glenview, Illinois. According to Illinois State Police, a car was driving southbound in the northbound lanes and hit another car near Golf Road just before 2 a.m. The wrong-way driver was pronounced dead on the scene.
