Store openings: Boux Avenue, Sisterly Tribe, Rodd & Gunn and Crocs

July ended with a flourish of store announcements, two in the north of England and two in the London area. Starting in Manchester, which has seen a series of retailers open there this summer, lingerie, nightwear and swimwear brand Boux Avenue has just signed a 10-year lease at Manchester Arndale for a store later this summer. It will occupy a prominent 2,765 sq ft unit on New Cannon Street featuring its signature expert bra fittings, luxurious fitting rooms, and a wide array of lingerie including its viral strapless and push up bras, plus swimwear and nightwear. In London, Scandinavian women's athleisure/lifestyle brand Sisterly Tribe has launched a 'major milestone' in the Selfridges department store with its founder Kristin Hars calling the arrival a 'clear step forward in building a global brand rooted in Scandinavian design, wellness and sisterhood'. She added that the UK 'has become one of our fastest-growing markets, and this launch gives customers the opportunity to experience the feel, fit and quality of our pieces firsthand.' Meanwhile the 'Kiwi spirit' has arrived in historic York via menswear retailer Rodd & Gunn with the New Zealand brand's first store in Yorkshire becoming its eighth standalone in the UK. Situated on Stonegate Street, it features the brand's SS25 range, headlined by the 'Beyond the Horizon' collection 'where sartorial meets the sea'. Crocs isn't only busy on the fashion collab front (with London streetwear brand Aries) with the popular mass footwear brand opening a stores at London Designer Outlet (LDO) in Wembley, west London. The new 1,456 sq ft store, has been designed with an elevated layout 'to create an inviting atmosphere with bold displays and striking fixtures'. The new Crocs store displays its 'Come As You Are' brand statement in glowing LED lights, 'adding a personal and inspiration touch to the space'.
