Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest unveils room-suite renovations

Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest unveils 350 redesigned rooms and suites after 30 million euros renovation, redefining contemporary luxury in the heart of the Hungarian capital. BUDAPEST – Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest announces the completion of its comprehensive multi-year renovation, culminating in the unveiling of 350 newly redesigned rooms and suites in May 2025. Initiated in 2018 and thoughtfully executed in phases, the transformation redefines contemporary elegance in the heart of the Hungarian capital. Guided by renowned interior design studios, including British designer Alex Kravetz and Hungarian Krisztina Kováts (Haken Design), each room and suite has been meticulously reimagined. Guests may now choose from 43 suites, including Junior, Executive, Corvinus Art Collection Suites along with the Presidential Suite, which has recently been recognised as Hungary's Leading Hotel Suite by the World Travel Awards. Accommodation options range from Deluxe and Premium Deluxe to the signature Corvinus rooms, many of which are available in connecting configurations, ideal for families. Among the highlights is the Art Collection Suite inspired by the Japanese-Scandinavian (Japandi) aesthetic, a serene retreat adorned with rounded furnishing and a calming colour palette. Another standout is the Herend Suite, which showcases exquisite hand-painted porcelain from the famed Hungarian manufactory, complemented by a bespoke carpet that adds a distinctive touch. Every room and suite features custom-made furniture, thoughtfully optimised layouts and curated local artwork – each part of the hotel's 1,500-piece Corvinus Art Collection. Guests can enjoy magnificent views over the city, Erzsébet Park and the iconic Budapest Ferris Wheel. 'This renovation, together with enhancements such as our Business Centre located on the events floor and the Japandi-style Kempinski The Spa – named Hungary's Best Hotel Spa 2024 by the World Spa Awards – marks a significant new chapter in the hotel's 33-year history', says Area General Manager Stephan Interthal. 'Our dedicated team of 300 colleagues and I are delighted to welcome guests to rediscover refreshed luxury and the timeless essence of European hospitality.' With a total investment of 30 million euros, this transformation reaffirms Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest's commitment to delivering returning and first-time guests refined elegance, tailored experiences and a fresh perspective on urban luxury in one of Europe's most beautiful and exciting cities.
