Himachal CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu extends salutations to young Everester Kritika Sharma
Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], May 22 (ANI): Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has extended his felicitations to the youngest Everester, Kritika Sharma hailing from Sirmaur district for conquering the World's highest peak just at the age of 17 thus bringing laurels to the State and the country. A National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadet, Kritika, showed her prowess and her strong will power to scale Mount Everest, he said, adding further that her feat has set an example for the other youngsters of the State and she has become a source of inspiration for those interested in adventure sports. Kritika has proved that 'where there is a will, there is a way' and nothing is invincible if one commits to surpass the hurdles. The Chief Minister wished the best to Kritika Sharma and her entire team for this extraordinary success and such future endeavours. In a post on X, CM Sukhu wrote, 'NCC cadet Kritika Sharma, a resident of Gattadhar village of Sirmaur district, has brought laurels to Himachal Pradesh across the country by setting a new record by hoisting her victory flag on Mount Everest. His achievement will become a source of inspiration for the youth. Hearty congratulations to Krithika for her success and best wishes for a bright future.' The National Cadet Corps (NCC) has reached a significant milestone as its expedition team successfully scaled Mount Everest (8,848m) on May 18. According to a release from the Ministry of Defence, the team comprised 10 NCC cadets (five boys and five girls), four Officers, two Junior Commissioned Officers, one Girl Cadet Instructor, and 10 Non-Commissioned Officers. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh flagged off the expedition from New Delhi on April 3, 2025. The cadets selected were novices from across the country. They underwent a strict selection and training process. As part of their preparation, they conducted a pre-Everest Expedition at Mt Abi Gamin. The final team of 15 cadets was then selected to undergo winter and technical training at the Army Mountaineering Institute, Siachen Base Camp. After months of training, ten cadets were selected for the Mount Everest Expedition. The team, comprising the youngest climbers with an average age of 19 years, became the centre of attraction and were noted for their fitness and discipline during acclimatisation training at various stages of the ascent. Sherpas of Nepal praised the NCC team for their physical readiness and morale. (ANI)

HPBoSE 10th Result 2025 date and time: Result to be declared today
HPBOSE Class 10 Result 2025 Date and Time: The Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (HPBOSE), Dharamshala, will declare the Class 10 results today (May 15) at 2:30 pm. Matric students will be able to check their marks at the official website — Additionally, will also publish the HPBoSE results. HP Board HPBOSE Class 10th Result 2025, LIVE This year, the HPBOSE conducted class 10 board exams for regular and State Open Schools (SOS) from March 4 to March 24 in pen and paper mode. The results are releasing on May 15 after 2:30 pm. Candidates should note that the online Himachal Matric Result 2025 is provisional. They are advised to collect their original mark sheets from their respective schools soon after the official declaration of the results. HPBOSE HP Board Result 2025: Know Date, Time, Direct link here Students who will not be satisfied with their matriculation exam results will have the option to apply for re-checking or re-evaluation of their answer scripts. Students need to fill out an online application form for re-checking or re-evaluation and pay the required application fee. The re-checking application must be submitted within 15 days after the result declaration. In 2025, nearly 1.95 lakh students registered to appear for the Class 10 and 12 board exams. This year, the board rescheduled the Class 12 English exam, which was scheduled for March 8 but was held on March 25 during the second shift from 2 PM to 5 PM. The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBoSE) made the decision to postpone the exam after receiving reports of an alleged paper leak. Last year, the Himachal Pradesh Class 10th board results were declared on May 7. The Himachal Pradesh board conducted the Class 10 exam between March 2 and March 18 in 2024. A total of 91,622 candidates had registered for the HP Class 10 exam, out of which 91,130 appeared. In total, 67,988 students passed the exam, while 12,613 students failed. The pass percentage for HPBOSE matric students was 74.61%. Ridhima Sharma topped the matric exam with 99.86%. Kritika Sharma secured the second position with 99.71%.

The evaluation of the HPBoSE Himachal Pradesh answer sheets is completed. As reported by local media, the Himachal Pradesh will announce both Class 10th, 12th results latest by May 15. The results for the both classes can be checked from the official websites– declared. Last year, the results for both the classes were announced separately. The HPBoSE Class 12th results was announced on April 29, and Himachal Pradesh Class 10th marksheets were issued on May 7. Class 12th results in 2024 Nearly 85,777 Class 12 students appeared for the exam of which 63,092 passed. The overall pass percentage recorded was 73.76%. In 2023, a total of 1,03,928 students appeared in Class 12 exams and out of these only 83,418 students passed. The overall pass percentage was recorded at 79.74 per cent.
