New associate, assistant principals approved for Champaign Central High School

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — The Champaign Unit 4 Board of Education has approved the appointments of a new associate principal and assistant principal at Central High School. At Monday night's Board of Education meeting, the appointments of Ryan Krows as associate principal and Christina Jordahl as assistant principal of Central High School were both approved. 'Mahomet is open for business': Village's next president wants to prioritize growth, safety Krows started his teaching career when joining Unit 4 Schools in August 2003 as an English teacher at Central High School, where he served for 19 years. During this time, he was also a building literacy coordinator, teacher representative for district curriculum, instruction, and assessment team, and English department chair. Starting in the 2022-23 school year, Krows accepted the position as assistant principal at the school. In July 2023, he became the associate principal/summer school principal as well. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, with a minor in Secondary Education (2003), a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction (2009), and a Master of Education in Educational Administration and Principal Licensure (2022), all from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The effective date of his appointment will be July 1, 2025. Champaign FD investigating 'fully involved' car fire In addition, Jordahl began her career in education in August 2017 when she joined the Unit 4 School District as a math teacher at Central High School and served five years in that role. Following this position, she became a math instructional coach. Jordahl started her first administrator role as head of students at the school in July 2023. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, with a minor in Secondary Education (2017) and a Master of Education in Educational Policy and Organizational Leadership, with a Principal Endorsement (2022), both from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
