Zuhair Murad continues Hollywood premiere streak
DUBAI: Lebanese designer-to-the-stars Zuhair Murad continues to dress Hollywood's TV and silver screen actors, with the likes of Krysten Ritter and Maria Gabriela De Faria donning his designs on the red carpet as of late. For her part, US actress Ritter hit the red carpet at the premiere of TV series 'Dexter Resurrection' in New York in a black high neck gown with silver star detailing from Murad's ready-to-wear pre-fall 2025 collection. US actress Krysten Ritter hit the red carpet at the premiere of TV series 'Dexter Resurrection' in New York in a black high neck gown with silver star detailing from Zuhair Murad's ready-to-wear pre-fall 2025 collection. (Getty Images) Earlier this month, Venezuelan star De Faria attended the Los Angeles premiere of 'Superman' in a black sequined gown with a high neckline and chiffon cape from the label's fall 2025 collection. 'What a dream of a dress you guys gave me,' De Faria commented on the fashion house's Instagram post about the gown this week. Murad seems to have been heavily involved in the 'Superman' press tour, dressing lead star Rachel Brosnahan for the Rio de Janeiro premiere in late June. She wore a floor-length dress crafted from sheer navy blue fabric, adorned with geometric beadwork and sequins. The design featured a structured, plunging neckline with wide shoulder straps. The fitted bodice extended into a subtly flared mermaid-style skirt. Brosnahan takes on the role of Lois Lane in the upcoming film, directed by James Gunn. Since founding his brand in 1997, Murad has gained international attention. His creations have been worn by celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Taylor Swift, Celine Dion, Sofia Vergara, Kristen Stewart and Scarlett Johansson on major red carpets. He is one of a handful of Arab designers on the official Paris Fashion Week and Paris Haute Couture Week calendars. Murad was recently championed by British Lebanese actress Razane Jammal, who wore a black gown featuring a plunging neckline and tie detail at the waist from the designer's ready-to-wear Pre-Fall 2025 collection to the launch of the Panthere de Cartier collection in Istanbul in June. In April, American actress Blake Lively and singer songwriter Nicole Scherzinger both wore Zuhair Murad designs to the 2025 Time 100 Gala. Lively opted for a pink taffeta off-the-shoulder gown with a corseted bodice and train detail from Murad's Spring 2025 ready-to-wear collection. Scherzinger chose a black off-the-shoulder sequined gown from the designer's Pre-Fall 2025 ready-to-wear collection.

JESSICA JONES Star Krysten Ritter Talks About Returning to the Role in DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN Season 2 and Having to Keep It a Secret — GeekTyrant
Krysten Ritter made her Marvel debut as Jessica Jones in the Netflix series that ran for three seasons before Disney+ took over the Marvel properties and the shows fizzled out. Now that Jones' co-Defender, Matt Murdock aka Daredevil, is back in action in the series Daredevil: Born Again , fans are finally getting what they've been asking for with Ritter's return in season 2. Ritter has been asked nonstop about whether she'd be seen in the new series for the last few years, and she had to play coy, but it turns out that she knew all along, and has had to keep it a secret. While promoting her latest project, the series Dexter: Resurrection , Ritter chatted about the situation on the Bingeworthy podcast for The Playlist. She reflected on the torturous time during which she had to hide the return of Jones: "Keeping it a secret has been torture. I'd known for almost two years, and it's a long time. A long time. It's either been talked about, in the works, or some state for a long time. 'So, keeping that secret and keeping the enthusiasm and waiting until the [Marvel] upfronts to announce it, it was like, when it was finally out, I was like, 'Oh my God!' 'I'm always pretending I'm not in New York… I was like, 'If it gets out, it's not because of me, because I have kept the secret!' It's just really special and exciting. And the team is amazing, and I feel grateful." Ritter also talked about what it felt like to revive the fan-favorite private investigator, saying: "It felt crazy — like no time had passed. It felt celebratory; everybody was so excited. This is all due to fan demand. I really believe I'm back because the fans have been so vocal about Jessica and feeling so passionate about her. 'And I am so thrilled to be back in these iconic boots. This is a character that I love and means so much to me, and means so much to so many women and men. And the fact that she gets to come back in this huge way is a thrill. And it's a really great team." As for what the future holds for Jones in the MCU, nothing has been confirmed, but Ritter said, hopefully: "I think there are many opportunities for Jessica. I think that she's a great way in. I think that she brings her own flavor and her own style. And I think that you could probably find her anywhere, but I do love the grounded street element. 'And what I've always loved about Jessica is how deeply personal it is. I think there's just so much to this character. She's so dynamic that it's exciting to officially be in the MCU and be brought back in this big way. 'It's amazing and wild; it's really so rare that something like this happens. So, I'm thrilled that Marvel's been so amazing and that the fans brought her back. I'm just over the moon about it." Daredevil: Born Again season 2 is set to hit Disney+ in March 2026. via: Movieweb

Krysten Ritter Teases Return as Jessica Jones as DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN Season 2 Wraps Filming — GeekTyrant
Filming has officially wrapped on Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, and with that comes with the return of Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones. She recently teased: "It's very exciting. I am very thrilled to be back in Jessica's boots. There's more story for her, and it's really exciting," Ritter told ScreenRant. She also talked about the tone of Born Again, which, as you know from the first season, is leaning into the gritty feel that made the original Netflix era so memorable. "Oh, it's gritty. It feels big, too. The crew's amazing. I've had an amazing experience. I can't say anything, but I love being with Charlie [Cox]. It was as if no time had passed. 'Like, my first day, I was looking around like, we're back… I think the fans are going to be very, very thrilled. We're doing some cool stuff." Ritter first appeared as Jessica Jones back in 2015, and quickly became a fan-favorite for her no-nonsense portrayal of the hard-drinking, reluctant hero. Showrunner Dario Scardapane confirmed the Season 2 wrap on Instagram, sharing a photo of a custom bobblehead gifted by the art department, and thanking the cast and crew, including new face Matthew Lillard. We'll find out what's in store for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 when it hits Disney+ in March 2026. Source: ScreenRant

Dexter on Paramount+ review: One of modern pulp TV's great creations is still tremendous fun
Serial killer drama Dexter got away with murder when it hand-waved away an atrocious final season and started over with 2021's Dexter: New Blood. The bloody good times continue with another sequel series, Dexter: Resurrection ( Paramount+ , Friday), which relocates Michael C Hall 's charming chopper to New York, where he crosses paths with a coven of serial killers. It's grippingly giddy viewing – and the ever-reliable Hall is joined by a high-wattage cast including Uma Thurman , Krysten Ritter and Peter Dinklage . There are also cameos from various figures from Dexter's past – fans of the original show, which blazed a bloody path from 2006 to 2013, are sure to have fun ticking off the returning names. Dexter arrived during the glory days of prestige TV – it debuted four years after The Wire and 12 months before Mad Men. But it never quite had the quality to rank alongside such classics, and its charms were generally of the ludicrous variety before it ultimately went off the rails – a decline in quality that has gone down in the annals of popcorn television. Rock bottom came in the 2013 finale when Dexter vanished from his hunting ground in Miami during a hurricane, faked his death, and relocated to upstate New York. That's where Resurrection begins after Dexter begged his son Harrison to kill him last season. That was to help Harrison expunge his own murderous instincts. He failed, however, and Dexter wakes in hospital with his child having vanished. READ MORE He is happy to recuperate while interrupted by demons from his past. But when Dexter hears of the killing in New York of a sexual predator, he recognises the murderer's methods as his own. Harrison (Jack Alcott) is on the prowl and seemingly continuing Dexter's mission of using his gory gifts not for evil but good (by taking out the genuine monsters in society). And so it's off to New York in search of his son – only to discover more than he bargained for. [ Too Much review: This is the Netflix viral hit that everyone will be talking about Opens in new window ] Hall is solid as the blankly suave Dexter and delivers an impressive portrayal of a man with plenty bouncing around inside his head but with a cold emptiness where his soul should be. As with previous incarnations of the franchise, the going is thoroughly hokey – but it's still tremendous fun. One of modern pulp TV's great creations has never felt more alive than in the enjoyable Dexter: Resurrection.
