Over 100 mark Mother's Day with special Fa Jia Nuan Jian Shen Cao workout

KUCHING (May 11): More than 100 people gathered at the Mayor Song Swee Guan Park here today for a special Mother's Day celebration.
Organised by the Kuching Fo Fa Ling Xian Zong, they participated in a grand Fa Jia Nuan Jian Shen Cao performance as part of efforts to promote a healthy lifestyle among the elder generation.
Fa Jia Nuan Jian Shen Cao is a form of workout suitable for people of all ages. It is simple and slow-paced, and poses no great challenge for senior citizens.
The participants gathered as early as 7am and, accompanied by gentle background music, did a series of motions to kick start the day.
The event was organised in collaboration with the Tabuan Jaya Chamber of Commerce, Mazhong Recreation Association, Kuching South City Council, and Malaysian Red Crescent Kuching.
Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian officiated at the event, with Kuching South mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng and Batu Lintang assemblyman See Chee How among those present. Mayor Song Swee Guan Park Mother's Day senior citizens workout
