The full‐length solo performance signifies the culmination of years of rigorous training and dedication under the tutelage of Guru Dr Nishitha Yabaji at Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society (SIFA), Singapore. Rangapravesam, which translates to 'ascending the stage' in Sanskrit, is a revered tradition in Kuchipudi, an ancient classical dance form originating from Andhra Pradesh. It marks a dancer's formal debut, showcasing his / her mastery of technique, emotive expression (abhinaya), and the intricate storytelling inherent to Kuchipudi. Priyanka has been immersed in the art of Kuchipudi since the age of 7, delving deep into the theoretical and practical aspects of the dance.

Agency: PTI Amaravati, Jul 27 (PTI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu landed in Singapore on Sunday, beginning a five-day official visit to attract investments and strengthen diaspora ties. During this visit, the Chief Minister is scheduled to participate in a total of 29 programmes. Naidu received a grand welcome at Changi Airport from Telugu community members, industrialists, Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugu Society (APNRTS) representatives, and Non-Resident Indians (NRIs). Children performed Kuchipudi dance while women offered traditional harathi (traditional lamp ritual). 'Truly delighted by the warm reception from our vibrant Telugu community. Their presence and contributions play a vital role in strengthening the bond between our nations. I thank them for their gracious welcome and affection", said Naidu in a post on X. According to the itinerary shared by the southern state's government, the CM is expected to meet Indian High Commissioner Shilpak Ambule today. At 2 pm, Naidu is expected to attend the Southeast Asia Telugu Diaspora Programme, joined by his son Nara Lokesh and other cabinet ministers at the OAVIS Auditorium. The event will focus on global employment for Andhra youth, P4 poverty eradication initiative, and expanding Telugu NRIs' role in Andhra Pradesh's development. In the evening, Naidu is likely to attend a formal dinner hosted by the Indian High Commissioner, concluding his first day with three business and two diaspora engagements. Deliberations will explore ways to strengthen the global Telugu community's role in Andhra Pradesh's development. The chief minister will also invite Telugu industrialists and NRIs to participate in the 'zero poverty-P4' initiative. On Day 2, the CM is expected to meet Singapore's Minister for Trade and Industry and study sustainable urban planning at Bidadari Estate with his delegation, said an official press release. He is expected to participate in a roundtable on urban development, visit Singapore Sports School, and tour Tuas Port to understand port-led growth and industrial logistics ecosystems, it said. On July 29, Naidu will hold talks with AI Singapore, SIA Engineering, Keppel, GIC, and join an IT and fintech roundtable with over ten global firms. Later that day, he will meet Singapore's President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and former Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, followed by a CEO roundtable on port infrastructure. On July 30 and 31, the CM will meet representatives from CapitaLand, Temasek, Sumitomo Mitsui Bank, and Singapore ministers before returning to Hyderabad on Wednesday night. Strategic discussions will be held on enhancing exports from Andhra Pradesh through collaborations with NRIs. Emphasis will also be placed on expanding employment opportunities through skill development programmes. As part of the visit, the chief minister's team will tour key infrastructure and logistics hubs, including ports and sports facilities, it added. The visit aims to build global partnerships across infrastructure, IT, fintech, ports, sports, and urban development for Andhra Pradesh's inclusive growth. Vijayawada: Arunodaya Kala Samithi commemorated the 7th edition of its cherished Gurupujotsav on Sunday evening, enveloping the premises of Sri Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College in an aura of spirituality, tradition, and artistic excellence. The evening commenced with Jyothi Prajwalana before the idol of Lord Nataraja, setting an auspicious tone for the celebrations. Under the guidance of Natya Guru Manzoosha Pakki, the stage was transformed into a sacred space of rhythm and devotion through a series of classical dance performances. The disciples of Arunodaya Kala Samithi enthralled the audience with a well-curated Kuchipudi recital, beginning with a soulful Ganesh Bhajan, followed by Tandava Nruthyakari, Brahmanjali, Dasavathara Shabdam, Ashtalakshmi Stotram, Tarangam, and Paras Thillana. Each piece reflected not only the technical rigor but also the spiritual essence of the art form. Adding to the diversity of the evening were Bharatanatyam presentations, including Tisra Alarippu and Vasantha Jathiswaram, showcasing the students' grace and disciplined training across classical forms. Post the performances, the Sabhakaryakramam began with Guru Vandanam, where students and guests paid heartfelt tributes to the guru. Madhurakavi Valiveti, the guest of honour, applauded Guru Manzoosha Pakki's tireless contribution to classical arts, describing her choreography of the Ashtalakshmi Stotram as 'distinctive and deserving of recognition.' Kandula Lakshmi Narsamma, Principal of GVR College of Music and Dance, praised the guru's unwavering dedication and offered a melodious tribute in song. Other distinguished speakers, including Madhavi Latha, Secretary of Asha Jyothi Foundation, and Ramaa Gayatri Karanam, Telugu teacher at DPS, expressed deep appreciation for both the guru and her devoted disciples. The evening also featured felicitations to the guests and a special honour for the students, acknowledging their dedication and sincerity. The emotional high point came with the Pada Pooja, a deeply symbolic and heartfelt offering of reverence by the students to their guru—a moment that left the audience visibly moved. The smooth and graceful execution of the event was credited to the seamless coordination by Madhuri and Vijay Mohan, whose efforts ensured a flawless experience for all in attendance. With artistry, devotion, and emotion woven together, the 7th Gurupujotsav stood as a radiant tribute to the timeless guru-shishya Parampara, inspiring all present with the enduring beauty of classical dance and the sacred bond it fosters.
