It has a round neckline, half-length sleeves, lace-embroidered cuffs, delicate floral thread embroidery, a cropped hem length, and a tailored fitting. For accessories, the Reliance Foundation chairperson chose gold and Kundan jewels, including a bracelet and stunning jhumkas. A massive diamond ring rounded off the look. Senco Gold gains after Q4 PAT nearly doubles to Rs 94 crore; EBITDA margin at 9.2%
Senco Gold rose 2.11% to Rs 388.85 after the company's net profit increased by 94.1% to Rs 62.44 crore as revenue from operations rose by 21.1% to Rs 1,377.71 crore in Q4 March 2025 over Q4 March 2024. Profit before tax (PBT) stood at Rs 85.08 crore in Q4 FY25, up by 62.4% from Rs 52.38 crore recorded in Q4 FY24. For the fourth quarter, EBITDA came in at Rs 127.01 crore (up by 44.8%) while EBITDA margin was at 9.2% (up 150 basis points YoY). Total operating expenses rose by 19.2% to Rs 1,250.69 crore in Q4 FY25 as compared with Q4 FY24. During the quarter, cost of materials consumed stood at Rs 1,146.46 crore (up 21.6% YoY) while employee benefits expense was at Rs 35.65 crore (up 27.1% YoY). For the full year FY25, revenue from operations rose by 20.7% to Rs 6,328.07 crore, while net profit fell by 12% to Rs 159.31 crore. Suvankar Sen, MD & CEO, said: Senco Gold Ltd. recorded a Standalone total income of Rs 6,313.4 Cr on a growth of 19.7% in FY25 as compared to FY24. The Q425 vs Q424 growth was 20.5%, and SSSG growth accounted for 18%. The company has seen 21% volume growth and 38% in value of diamond jewellery in Q4, which has led to an increase in profit. The adjusted PAT increased by 10.1% to Rs 207.9 Cr. The impact on PAT is due to a one-time customs duty cut in July 2024. In our retail segment, our company-owned showrooms, with a 64% revenue contribution to the overall retail business, have registered a growth of 21% and franchisee business, which contributes to 36% of the retail business, has grown by 28% in Q4 over the last year. Q4 saw a strong studded growth, of over 38% in revenue and of over 2% growth in volume. In Q4, 5 new showrooms were opened (2COCO, 2FOCO and 1FOFO model). In this period, the overall SSSG was 18%. The sharp increase in gold prices during Q4 led to an increase in old gold jewellery exchanges, with old gold contributing nearly 40% to overall sales, out of which 61% is coming from the Non-Senco customers in FY25. Senco Gold is a leading pan-India jewellery retailer. CPI(M) commander killed in gunfight with security forces in Jharkhand
A commander of the banned CPI (Maoist) was killed in a gunfight with security forces in Jharkhand's Palamu district, a senior police official said on Tuesday. Another red rebel, who is carrying a bounty of Rs 15 lakh, has been injured in the encounter, he said. Several weapons, including a self-loading rifle, were recovered during the search operation after the gunfight, police said. The encounter between security forces and Maoists broke out between Barwahi and Naiya villages in Hussainabad on Monday, police said. 'The body of a CPI (Maoist) has been recovered, following an intense gunfight between the security forces and red rebels in Palamu. Palamu Superintendent of Police (SP) Reeshma Ramesan said, 'We received a tip-off yesterday about two Maoists, including Nitesh Yadav who carries a bounty of Rs 15 lakh, along with their associates, gathered at a location between Barwahi and Naiya villages in Hussainabad police jurisdiction, planning to carry out an incident.' She added that a joint operation team, comprising Jharkhand Jaguar, CRPF and local police, was formed. Based on the tip, the team conducted a search operation in the area. 'As soon as the Maoists spotted the security personnel, they opened fire. The team retaliated, resulting in the death of Tulsi Bhuiyan. We also recovered an SLR, a magazine, and other daily-use items from the spot,' she said. Ramesan stated that the search operation is still ongoing. Palamu Zonal IG Sunil Bhaskar said police fired 300 rounds of bullets and the exchange of fire lasted for about 12 hours. He said at least six Maoists were involved in the exchange of fire. The security forces have launched a massive anti-Naxal operation here and three dreaded Maoists were neutralised in the last few days, including one on Monday. In the adjoining Latehar district, Manish Yadav, a member of the banned CPI (Maoist), who was carrying a bounty of Rs 5 lakh on his head, was killed in a gunfight with security forces on Monday, while another red rebel was arrested. Arrested Maoist Kundan Singh Kharwar, a zonal commander of the organisation, was carrying a bounty of Rs 10 lakh on his head and two X-95 automatic rifles and ammunition were recovered from his possession. Manish and Kundan had been active in CPI (Maoist) for the past 12 years, and while Manish was wanted in 40 cases, Kundan in 27. Both of them were involved in several incidents, including an encounter on January 7, 2013 at Amwatikar Tola under the Barwadih Police Station limits, in which 10 police personnel were killed and 15 injured. Earlier on May 24, Pappu Lohra, the chief of the proscribed Jharkhand Jan Mukti Parishad (JJMP), carrying a reward of Rs 10 lakh and his associate Prabhat Ganjhu, the sub-zonal commander of the organisation, were killed during an operation. Ganjhu was carrying a bounty of Rs 5 lakh on his head. Lohra was wanted in 98 cases, including murder, extortion, and arson, in several districts such as Lohardaga, Gumla, Chatra, Palamu, and Latehar, while Ganjhu was wanted in 15. Both were allegedly involved in the killing of Jharkhand Jaguar deputy commandant Rajesh Kumar during an operation in September 2021.

Daltonganj: Two days after Jharkhand Jan Mukti Parishad (JJMP) Pappu Lohra and his aide were killed, security forces in Latehar gunned down a sub-zonal commander of CPI (Maoist) and arrested another operative in a gunfight in the early hours of Monday. Wanted in 40 criminal cases in Jharkhand, Manish was a native of Chakar Bandha village under Doomarya police station limits in Bihar's Gaya district. Kundan Kherwar (35), another Maoist zonal commander, was nabbed along with a X 95 automatic weapon. Wanted in 27 cases across Jharkhand, Kundan is a native of Manika police station limits in Latehar. A X 95 was also found on Manish, the police said. Latehar SP Kumar Gaurav said a gun battle broke out between a Maoist unit and a joint team of district police and a small action team of the India Reserve Battalion at Neeche Douna between 1:30-2 am on Monday. "The fight, which lasted 45 minutes," Gaurav said. Neecha Douna, which has been a Maoist stronghold for years, is 20 kilometres from Netarhat police station. After Manish was killed and Kundan was apprehended, the rest of the squad made a hasty retreat, Gaurav said. "The operation was held based on a tip that a Maoist squad had assembled at Neeche Douna," the SP said. JJMP chief Lohra, along with his second-in-command Prabhat Ganjhu, were killed in an encounter with the district police at Ichabar under Latehar police station limits on May 24. Meanwhile, SP Palamu said that an exchange of firing between the Palamu police and the dasta of the Maoists of Nitesh is underway under the Hussainabad police station limits in Palamu. Nitesh carries a reward of Rs 10 lakh.
