Kyhle Moers elected as Vanderburgh County GOP Chair
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — Vanderburgh County Republicans vote on new leadership including a new chair.
In a closed meeting the party caucused on the east side of Evansville and elected Kyhle Moers as its new chair.
Out of 212 ballots cast, Moers earned 112 votes. Steve Ary and Frank Peter-Lin also campaigned for the job.
Moers tells us he's focused on finding successful candidates for the upcoming elections including county council and county sheriff.
'There's a lot at stake this upcoming year for our party, and we're really invested in continuing to have success on the races where we've had it and have success in the races where maybe we haven't had it,' says Moers.
