The Minister of Labour and Rehabilitation in the eastern based Libyan government, Abdullah Arhuma, discussed the details of the proposed cooperation protocol with the Kuwaiti European Centre for Administrative and Educational Consulting, as part of the implementation of the 'Creating a Libyan Cadre' initiative. The cooperation, Libya's state news agency LANA reported today, aims to train and qualify 25,000 job seekers inside Libya and another 1,000 outside of it, as part of a national plan to support the capabilities of youth and provide them with the skills required by the labour market. The protocol includes vocational and leadership training programmes, as well as specialized courses that grant international licenses and certificates accredited by official bodies in Kuwait, enhancing employment opportunities and contributing to the development of national competencies. UN mission discusses training programmes for Libyan News Agency staff
The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) has discussed joint training programmes for staff at the Libyan News Agency (LANA), focusing on newsroom skills, investigative journalism, and digital transformation. UNSMIL's Director of Communications, Mohamed Al-Asaadi, met with LANA's director, Abdelbaset Aboudeih, on Thursday to discuss plans for the upcoming training initiatives. China Eyes Closer Cooperation with Libya
