Firefighter injured on 42nd Street, Louisville Fire Arson Bureau investigating
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — The Louisville Fire Department (LFD) said a firefighter was injured while responding to a residential fire on Thursday. According to the department, firefighters were dispatched at 2:48 a.m. after reports of smoke coming from a home in the 300 block of South 42nd Street. 'Roughly 35 firefighters worked efficiently to bring the fire under control within 17 minutes. All searches of the primary structure and adjacent exposures confirmed that no occupants were inside,' the department said. One firefighter reportedly had minor, non-life-threatening injuries during the mission and was treated at the scene. Lynchburg FD asking for public feedback during online ‘Strategic Planning Survey'
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – The Lynchburg Fire Department is asking for the community to participate and give feedback during its Strategic Planning survey. The online survey starts this week and is a part of the department's process for updating its decision-making and funding planning. Officials with LFD said the plan was last updated in 2018 and helps guide the department when establishing priorities for equipment needs, staffing, and delivery of services to the community. The feedback will give insight into the needs of the community. Roanoke County asking for community feedback on connecting Greenways areas The plan helps guide the department's decision-making process and establish funding priorities for equipment, staffing, and service delivery as we continue to serve the citizens of Lynchburg. It was last revised in 2018. 'The survey will help inform us of what the public feels we are doing well, where we can improve, and what other services, they might like to see us undertake. It's completely anonymous and will take about 10 minutes to complete.
