From son of daily wage earners to resident of Gadchiroli tribal settlement: how students of Pune's BJMC helped them crack NEET
At the very modest house of Abhishek Ghule in a village in Maharashtra's Jalna, the excitement refuses to die. Abhishek, the son of Rajendra and Geetabai, has become a celebrity of sorts in his Pokhari village under the Bhokhardan taluka since he cleared the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) UG, the results of which were declared in June. Abhishek is among the 75 students, who were coached by Lift for Upliftment (LFU), of whom 45 cleared NEET. Hailing from financially disadvantaged families, these students have overcome adversity to prepare for one of the toughest examinations in the country. Started in 2015, LFU is primarily run by students from the B J Government Medical College in Pune, who conduct state-wide entrance exams to select students for the free coaching classes they offer to meritorious but financially disadvantaged students. Currently, LFU is led by students Harish Khanware, Piyush Walunjkar, Punit Sahuji, and Pratiksha Shinde, all of whom are from B J Medical College. Abhishek has enough score to get him into a government medical college. 'I am the first person in our family to crack the entrance test. It seems like a dream come true. Now all of us are waiting for the results of the counselling, which will decide the college I will attend,' said Abhishek, whose parents are daily wage earners. When he was in Class 12, Sushil Mane's father, Amritkumar, was bedridden by paralysis. A resident of Borgaon village in the Walva taluka of Sangi, his mother Prabhabati managed to keep the family going by working at the local cooperative dairy. 'Since my childhood, I have seen my family suffer in want of medical aid. So, I wanted to become a doctor to help my family,' said Sushil. A relative had forwarded him a poster of LFU, which helped him realise his dream. 'Their batches had already started, but looking at my results and my interest, they allowed me to enrol,' he said. Like Ghule, Mane is also waiting for the admissions. 'I hope I get a college in Pune or Miraj. It would be nearer to my home,' he said. LFU's Ulgulaan batch is run for tribal students, especially in the state's Dharashiv district. Of the 45 students who cleared the NEET UG 2025, 15 are from remote tribal areas, such as Gadchiroli, who will secure admission in medical colleges. Devdas Wachami, who lives in a small village of Karampalli in the Bhamragad taluka of the Gadchiroli district, was in Class 6 when his grandmother's kidneys failed. Walchami said she had to suffer due to a lack of proper medical treatment. 'Financially, we are not that well off, so it was really difficult for us to get treatment on time. That was the trigger which got me thinking about pursuing medicine,' he said. Talking about his experience, Wachami said the best thing was the peer-to-peer coaching they got at LFU. 'Our teachers were students of B J Medical College, and for tribal students, they even talked about the skills necessary to cope. Most of us had not seen anything other than our villages. This coaching helped us,' he said. As he prepares to enter a medical college in either Mumbai or Pune, Wachami knows that in the long run, he will return to his village. 'If anything, I can never forget the pain my grandmother suffered from. That's enough for me to get back,' he said.

Brazilian league could return in EA FC 26 – but licensing issues still exist
FIFA 16 was the last time that authentic players and teams from Brazil were included in an EA Sports FIFA title. After a nine-year absence, we could see the Brazilian league, along with authentic teams and players, return in EA FC 26. EA FC 26 is now just a few months away from being released worldwide, and despite no new news about the game from EA Sports, we already seem to know quite a lot. EA FC 26 leaks have been persistent over the last few weeks, revealing all there is to know about EA FC 26. New players such as Icons and Heroes have been revealed along with new card designs, but in EA FC 26, we may also be getting some new leagues added to the game, including the Brazilian league. The last time that Brazilian football was included in an EA game title with authentic clubs and players was back in FIFA 16, but due to licensing, EA hasn't been able to include the Brazilian Serie A in the game since. This means that the glory days of Brazilian silvers in FIFA 14 have been missing for some time, but we could be set for a Brazilian league return in EA FC 26, according to leaks. The return of Joga Bonito in EA FC 26? According to @TheInfinityFC on Twitter, authentic Brazilian teams may be returning to EA FC 26, but it's slightly confusing, so let's break it down. Liga Forte Uniao (LFU) represent 33 Brazilian clubs, managing all the clubs' image and commercial rights. Among these, 12 of the teams are from the Brazilian Serie A, which includes teams like Botafogo, Fluminense, and Corinthians. The leaker claims that the LFU is reportedly negotiating a collective licensing deal with EA, meaning all of the clubs and players represented by the LFU could be authentically included in EA FC 26. With Neymar now playing in Brazil, the FC community will be desperate to use him in EA FC 26, but sorry to break the bad news – you may not be able to, at least from launch. Teams like Santos, Palmeiras, Corinthians and Flamengo, along with seven other Brazilian Serie A teams, are not represented by the LFU, but by LIBRA, which means that they won't be included in this deal. This means that any teams added by the LFU will arrive in FC 26 as Rest of World teams rather than as the Brazilian Serie A, as the league is currently made up of clubs represented by both the LFU and LIBRA. But, leaker @FutLatestInfo has also claimed in a Tweet that the Brazil Serie A will be coming to FC 26 at a later point in the year, most likely as part of a winter update. This is because teams like Santos, Palmeiras and Sao Paolo are all licensed to Konami 's eFootball, but according to the leaker, these licenses end in December. The leaker claims that 12 teams will be arriving in EA FC 26, but these teams are currently unknown. In all honesty, it's a bit of a confusing situation, but it is looking likely that at some point in FC 26, some authentic Brazilian teams and players from the Brazilian Serie A will be available in-game. Konami also confirmed in a recent update that the top division of Mexican football, Liga MX, is no longer exclusively licensed to eFootball, so all Liga MX teams will be removed from the game. Liga MX hasn't featured in an EA title since FIFA 21, so EA could get this license for FC 26.

Over 30 solutions presented at Kurdistan healthcare symposium
Also in Kurdistan One dead, three injured in Ranya shooting Turkey accuses PKK of killing Iraqi border guards Erbil to host Kurdish language conference in February Problem at Khor Mor cuts 700MW from power grid: KRG ministry A+ A- ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - A health sciences and nursing symposium held on Sunday by the Rwanga Foundation and Lebanese French University (LFU) presented more than 30 healthcare solutions, from cancer research to the pressure on the Kurdistan Region's health industry. 'The low number of hospitals in the Kurdistan Region in conjunction with the increase in population, has made it so that the pressure on the health industry increases,' Karzan Sheikh Muhsin, head of Rwanga's research center told Rudaw's Vazhin Morad. According to Rwanga's research and studies, over 200 thousand people go to the hospital in the Kurdistan Region in one month. This has placed a significant strain on the Kurdistan Region's health industry. At the symposium, 33 presentations were given. 'What we show here includes animal studies. There have been experiments on animals and cell lines, meaning we culture negative cells and do our experiments on that, and we use that to test the effect of these expressions,' said Rayan Mazn, a researcher. Mazn added that there is a lot more work to be done to get to the level they want with their research. The goal of the Rwanga Foundation and LFU was to show the ability of the researchers and combine their research for the improvement of the health system in the Kurdistan Region.
