Man in critical condition after hitting light pole in south Las Vegas valley
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A 46-year-old man is in critical condition after police said he lost control of his vehicle and hit a light pole in the south Las Vegas valley.
At around 5:25 a.m. on March 18, officers with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to a single-vehicle crash on East Pebble Road, east of Libertyvale Drive.
Police said a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse was driving east on Pebble when the driver lost control of the vehicle and failed to stay in his travel lane. Police said he hit the sidewalk before crashing into a light pole, knocking it off of its base.
The vehicle then hit a perimeter wall and rotated back onto the roadway. The driver was ejected from the vehicle, according to a release from the LMVPD.
The driver was taken to a local hospital where he is in life-threatening condition.
