Protestors storm London Marathon and tackled by police in politcally charged message
The London Marathon faced unexpected chaos on Sunday morning when police had to tackle two protesters on Tower Bridge. The event happened after it was claimed only the United States can reign in Israel. The pair, who leaped over barriers and onto the course just as the frontrunners of the elite men's race were approaching, caused a stir among spectators and participants alike. One of the demonstrators splashed red paint on the lead van, which was guiding the top runners. A motorbike escorting the athletes stopped in its tracks, with the rider jumping off to subdue the intruders. While this unfolded, the elite runners narrowly avoided the disruption, continuing their race without interruption.
