Jet2 flight diverted after mid-air 'medical emergency' declared
A Jet2 flight which departed from Edinburgh had to divert after declaring a mid-air 'emergency'. Passengers travelling on Jet2 flight LS3915 from Edinburgh to Rome departed the Scottish capital around 6.50am on Monday morning before the crew issued a 700 squawk code. After half an hour in the air, the flight diverted and landed at Birmingham Airport. Jet2 confirmed the flight was diverted due to a passenger requiring medical assistance. It was scheduled to land in the Italian capital city at around 10.20am.
