Teens of the Concho Valley: Local students serve meals at Laura W. Bush Institute for Women's Health
Although some school activities are winding down, sports and clubs are staying busy at tournaments, banquets and serving those around the Concho Valley.
Lake View's Spanish club helped set up and serve meals made with Central High School and TLCA students on Monday and Tuesday at the McNease Convention Center for the annual Laura W. Bush Institute for Women's Health presentation. The groups served over 600 guests during the luncheon, which provides funds for women affected by breast cancer. Students learned the importance of life skills, service and giving back to the community while they listened to guest speaker and former White House Press Secretary Dana Perino.
