A drug cartel boss known as 'La Gorda' or 'The Fat Lady' has been arrested in Mexico by cops investigating the brutal murder of a rival gang leader.
Beatriz Sánchez Martínez was discovered hiding out in her home in Mexico City where cops also seized drugs, a gun, and phones.
A leading figure within the Tláhuac Cartel, the 51-year-old was taken down by police three months after a rival gang leader, known as 'La Tía Fany' or 'Aunt Fany' was shot to death in her vehicle.
She was found riddled with bullet wounds after both gangs clashed over drug sales points in each of their controlled territories.
Martínez was caught by police along with accomplice Carlos Chávez Vargas in the house awash with drugs including 263 doses of cocaine, 200 doses of methamphetamine, 50 grams of probable methamphetamine, a short firearm, three cartridges and a mobile phone.

Three other properties believed to be safe houses and drug distribution sites linked to The Fat Lady have been raided in a huge operation prompted by the death of Aunt Fany on February 25
Vargas has been accused by Mexican police of murdering Aunt Fany on Martínez's orders to take out the competition.
Those involved were handed over to the Public Prosecutor's Office, while their homes were sealed and placed under police guard.
It has been reported that in the wake of Aunt Fany's death, her gang split into factions where they are violently operating in several neighbourhoods.
The Fat Lady and Vargas are now facing a raft of serious charges including drug possession, trafficking, carrying firearms, and extortion while Vargas is also being investigated for possible aggravated homicide.

These arrests come after reports emerged that some Mexican drug cartels are running training camps where hitmen are forced to eat their victims' hearts.
'These camps reportedly lie in hidden mountainous areas while criminals recruit young men into trafficking 'schools', it has been claimed.
A young man who was recruited into one of these camps said he was given a rifle and told to kill his brother at one point.
He explained that the lure of massive cash rewards convinces many young people to join the training camps.
He added that he was recruited at just 13-years-of-age.
Months of infighting between two factions of the Sinaloa drug cartel in Mexico City has led to the deaths of dozens of minors, it has been reported
According to local media, nearly 100 young people have gone missing in violence that followed the capture last July of one of the cartel's co-founder
'Thirty nine minors have lost their lives in this armed conflict," the president of the Sinaloa State Human Rights Commission, Oscar Loza told AFP, citing data from the public prosecutor's office.
The victims include two girls, aged seven and 12, who died on Monday after being caught in the crossfire between gunmen and security forces.
A 12-year-old boy was also wounded along with his parents and two other relatives, authorities said.
"When will the people recover from such a deep and painful wound? Never. It will always be there, not because of numbers but the smiles that were extinguished," Loza said.
One recent shooting occurred in the municipality of Badiraguato, the birthplace of imprisoned drug trafficker Joaquin 'El Chapo' Guzman and other senior cartel figures, authorities said.
