Of that sum, 77,000 units are via traditional album sales. More from Billboard How Did Ghost Score Its First No. 1 Album on the Billboard 200 With 'Skeletá'? Kendrick Lamar Leads 2025 BET Awards Nominees With 10 Nods Prince Royce to Sing at TelevisaUnivision's Upfront in New York The bow of Skeletá atop Top Rock & Alternative Albums and Top Rock Albums gives Ghost its fourth No. 1 on both, following the reigns of Impera (2022), Prequelle (2018) and the EP Popestar (2016). Additionally, its No. 1 on Top Hard Rock Albums is the band's seventh, with the aforementioned albums joined by 2024's Rite Here Right Now soundtrack, 2023's Phantomime EP and 2013's Infestissumam. With seven No. 1s on Top Hard Rock Albums, Ghost moves into a three-way tie for the third-most rulers since the ranking began in 2007, alongside Five Finger Death Punch and Foo Fighters. Most No. 1s, Top Hard Rock Albums: 9, Linkin Park 8, Pearl Jam 7, Five Finger Death Punch 7, Foo Fighters 7, Ghost 6, Disturbed 6, Korn 6, Nickelback As previously reported, Skeletá is Ghost's first No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 and the first hard rock release to top the ranking since AC/DC's Power Up in 2020. Concurrently, nine songs from Skeletá's 10-tune tracklist dot the multimetric Hot Hard Rock Songs chart, paced by 'Peacefield,' which rises 13-4 largely from 2.6 million official U.S. streams and 1,000 downloads. 'Lachryma' and 'Satanized' follow, moving 7-10 and holding at No. 11, respectively, though both songs boast higher peaks on the ranking so far — No. 3 ('Satanized' in March, 'Lachryma' in April). The week's top debut of the group, meanwhile, is 'Guiding Lights' at No. 15 (1.1 million streams). Lead single 'Satanized' returns to its previous best of No. 7 (rising one spot) on Mainstream Rock Airplay. Upon its entrance into the top 10, it became Ghost's 10th top 10 since first appearing on the tally in 2015, including five No. 1s. Jack Black's ‘Minecraft' Single 'Steve's Lava Chicken' Debuts Inside The Top 10

Jack Black is rising higher and higher on the charts all around the world week after week with a brand new smash — one few could have seen coming. The singer and actor is lifting steadily across a handful of Billboard rankings this frame thanks to a tune pulled from one of 2025's biggest box office hits. A Minecraft Movie has quickly become one of the highest-grossing films of the year globally, and now its standout song, 'Steve's Lava Chicken,' helps Black notch another win. 'Steve's Lava Chicken' makes an immediate mark on the Rock Digital Song Sales chart this frame. The track, performed by Black himself, debuts at No. 6 on Billboard's list of the bestselling rock-only tracks in the U.S. The strong start shows just how much fans are loving not only the film, but its playful musical moments as well. Despite its impressive entrance, 'Steve's Lava Chicken' isn't the highest-ranking new arrival on the Rock Digital Song Sales chart. This frame, Ghost's 'Lachryma' and Lana Del Rey's 'Henry, Come On' both manage even loftier starts, entering at Nos. 4 and 5, respectively. Still, Black comes in close behind, landing just ahead of Hardy's 'Buck on the Wall' at No. 7 and Fontaines D.C.'s 'Starburster,' which bows at No. 8. The arrival of 'Steve's Lava Chicken' represents an important milestone for Black, as it's his first solo appearance on the Rock Digital Song Sales ranking. As one-half of the Grammy-winning duo Tenacious D, he's previously hit this tally, but only once. In March 2024, the band's cheeky cover of Britney Spears's "...Baby One More Time" debuted at No. 1. Now, just a little over a year later, he's back, and this time, he's flying solo. While its big debut on the Rock Digital Song Sales chart is impressive, 'Steve's Lava Chicken' is also present on other Billboard tallies as well. The A Minecraft Movie smash jumps from No. 21 to No. 14 on the Hot Rock Songs list, and it also ascends from No. 27 to No. 19 on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs tally. Those are new peaks for the title, which is reaches in just its second stint on the rosters.

Review: Ghost Revitalize Arena Rock On New Album ‘Skeletá'

BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND - APRIL 20: Tobias Forge as Papa V Perpetua of Ghost performs at Utilita Arena ... More Birmingham on April 20, 2025 in Birmingham, England. (Photo by Katja Ogrin/Redferns) In 2025, Ghost is more popular than they've ever been. The masked band led by songwriter and vocalist Tobias Forge, has shown time and again that their pop-sensible hard rock is meant for the masses. With their sixth studio album, Skeletá, this aspect has not changed, in fact, it's taken to even further heights as Ghost channel the best of 80s pop and hard-rock throughout their latest LP. Influences from Journey, Iron Maiden, and fellow Swedish greats Europe reverberate through Skeletá, but not in a way that feels contrived or gimmicky. Rather, Ghost take inspiration from the instrumentation, arrangements, and production used from the decade and mix it within their own unique, often quirky songwriting. The result makes for one of the most satisfying releases in Ghost's discography, and moreover one of the best unapologetic arena-rock albums in decades. Huge reverb coated drum, dueling guitar harmonies, and shimmering synthesizers fill much of the sonic landscape on Skeletá. However, the brilliant vocal hooks and arrangements on this album are what seal the deal for every climactic bridge and punchy chorus. Tobias Forge's vocals are sounding better than ever on Skeletá, and it's quite apparent from just the grace he sings with on many of his vocal leads. The opening track 'Peacefield' showcases this and many of the band's 80s influences incredibly well – for fans of 80s pop-rock, the chorus in 'Peacefield' will definitely remind you of a certain Journey classic, though with noticeably weightier riffs. When a band brandishes a particular sound or motifs from a specific decade, it can easily come across as a gimmick. Ghost simply find the magic in the many amazing aspects from 80s arena rock greats and amalgamate it within their already robust songwriting. Sure maybe 'Peacefield' is a bit on the nose with its chorus, but the majority of Skeletá proves the band knows how to channel these influences in a way that builds upon their original gothic pop-rock sound. One of the best aspects on Skeletá is the guitar work. Between intricate shreddy guitar solos and layered harmonies, Ghost walk a fine line between technical prowess and memorable songwriting – the solo midway through 'Missilia Amori' showcases this perfectly. "Lachryma" is another great example of the pristine guitar work on Skeletá, with guitar leads echoing greats like Europe and Iron Maiden. Furthermore, the closing track "Excelsis" might feature the best guitar moment of the band's career, having a solo with enough passion and emotion to win an Oscar. It can't be overstated just how incredible the guitar work is on Skeletá, and not just from a lead standpoint. There's surprisingly an abundance of hard-hitting heavy riffs, particularly on songs 'Missilia Amori,' "Lachryma," and lead single 'Satanized.' Another great aspect of Skeletá that's definitely worth mentioning is the production on the album. Ghost's studio albums for the most part have sounded incredible, with the exception of maybe the band's first two LPs. However, Skeletá is without a doubt sonically the best the band has ever sounded. Each instrument has a clearly defined space in every mix allowing for every drum hit, guitar chug, and explosive chorus to flourish – the drums captured on Skeletá sound as if Metallica's Black Album 'Terminator' snare adopted a more 80s aesthetic. While tastes may vary between which Ghost album stands tallest, Skeletá makes a strong case for being the band's best work yet. The album is by no means perfect or a soon to be modern masterpiece, rather it's a straightforward, delightful modern rock album that is uplifted by revitalized aspects of 80s pop-rock and arena metal. Fans of Ghost will find an endless number of things to enjoy about Skeletá. For fans of rock and passive fans of the band, Ghost's latest LP is one of the best rock releases of the decade and it's easily a record worth checking out. Verdict: 8.5/10

The concert also marked the band's first show fronted by Papa V Perpetua. The Manchester gig launched a UK/European leg that runs through May 24th in Oslo, Norway. In addition to performing the LP's previously released singles 'Satanized' and 'Lachryma' for the first time in concert, Ghost premiered the album's as-yet-unreleased songs 'Peacefield' and 'Umbra.' Another live debut, 'The Future Is a Foreign Land,' appeared on the soundtrack to the band's 2024 big-screen movie RITE HERE RITE NOW, while the song 'Darkness at the Heart of My Love' from 2022's IMPERA was also performed for the first time. The setlist leaned heavily on Ghost's 2015 album, MELIORA, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. The band played seven songs from the LP, including favorites like 'Cirice' and 'From the Pinnacle to the Pit.' An encore consisted of three of Ghost's biggest tunes: 'Mary on a Cross,' 'Dance Macabre,' and the set-closing 'Square Hammer,' the latter of which Heavy Consequence named the top metal song of the 2010s. As mentioned, the show also marked the live debut of 'new' frontman Papa V Perpetua, as band mastermind Tobias Forge takes on a new identity with every album cycle. Ghost have instituted a strict no-filming policy for attendees on this tour, and as a result there isn't any footage of the show on YouTube. See the full setlist below.
